 Getting off to an early lead was our main focus, especially with them playing last night. We wanted to jump on them early and take their legs out from under them.

 We wanted to jump on them early, especially with the weather the way it was. Five innings makes an official game, so that is why we needed to get the early lead. But then, we decided to just put the weather out of our minds.

 I wanted to be aggressive early because the team gets better when I do that. The Mavericks and Phoenix are two teams that really try to jump on you early, so I wanted to be aggressive to keep them from getting on top of us.

 At the beginning of the year we couldn't get the big hit. Now, we've gotten some big hits and it's freed some guys up. We've tried to get them to be aggressive and attack early but they haven't done it. Today, it was nice to jump out and score some runs early instead of playing from behind.

 It does wonders for us to jump out early. Our psyche is pretty fragile with our record in the past. When we can jump out and get a quick lead it just builds momentum for us.
