 I obviously know the recent history, so I know the city and all the fans want a talented quarterback who's going to go out there and play well and win a lot of football games, and hopefully I'm that guy, ... I think I will be.

 Our fans loved us before the hurricane came. They've wanted us to win football games for 30 years. We should win football games for them regardless of the disaster.  I'm not thinking about the games yet. I want to be there with the guys. I can't wait to get home, to see the fans in San Francisco. I love the ballpark, the city, the fans. I feel I will play this season, but I don't know when.

 That says a lot about the history of the two schools and the games. People have told me that the two schools are very similar. They are two of the biggest state institutions in the country, both very good academic schools and are in the capital (cities). We each have a lot of fans and a lot of talk and publicity about football. (Football) is really important at both places.

 We knew what we could do in our hearts, but we still had to go out and play each one of those games. We went and won seven in a row. We did what everybody said we couldn't do. We took the scenic route. We went and visited everybody's city and played on the road. They said, 'No way they could have all these games on the road and continue to win.' You know what? When you play football like we play at that point in time, and just execute like we're doing, we feel like we can beat anybody.

 I don't know the correct way to classify the feeling I had after I wasn't playing football anymore. There are 5,000 fans watching on a good day in skiing. In football, it's 16 games a year and it's bigger than the Olympics as far as the fans. It was something I really missed doing.

 It's pretty frustrating. After we lost to Miami, we knew we had to win the last three games. We felt like we had a good shot at doing it. We had to play three good games, Colts, Kansas City and then Denver. We didn't expect to lose. But when you play good teams you have to play consistent football.

 All people have asked of me was, 'Joe, please win football games for us. Give us some kind of hope,' ... And that is what makes us feel so good. It wasn't about who made plays or who did what. It was about winning that football game for the fans in New Orleans and around the world, because our fans are everywhere.

 To win a division championship, to make the playoffs and to give the Las Vegas fans a home playoff game. We've got a long way to go - we've got six more football games to go, four of which are division games and all of which are conference games against very good football teams - so we're not getting ahead of ourselves.

 He's a talented quarterback, ... He's been around it and he's a coach's son, a gym rat or whatever you would call it for football. He's been a winner.

 They (the fans) are never going to forget to go to football games. This is a dominant football school.  Sometimes it`s like that, ... We missed our chances after showing the fans how we could play and fight. I am happy with the performance but disappointed with the result, especially as we now have two tough away games to play against Manchester City and Everton.

 The Seattle football fans have probably gone through some stuff in their history, ... and now we want to give our fans a team they can be proud of, where they can be excited about it, talk about it and have hope.

 It's definitely a friendly rivalry. He's a great quarterback. I'm happy when he makes a great play. We played together in Little Guy football. We were both offensive and defensive linemen. We didn't play quarterback until the eighth grade. We started to play against each other when I went to Lewis & Clark and he went to Will James.
