 It's always great to get a Pac-10 team on the schedule. That's a positive thing, in terms of recruiting and things of that nature.

 We have a great schedule and it will certainly test us early and often throughout the season. The thing that I like about this schedule is that it will provide an objective gauge of our team's progress.

 (The locker room was) definitely emotional. The seniors have played together for four years now. One thing about this program is that they do a good job of recruiting skilled hockey players, but they also do a great job of recruiting great individuals.

 One of the great things about athletics is that it really tests your character. I'm eager to see how we respond this week. Not in terms of wins, losses, league championships, or anything like that, but in terms of our team competitiveness. Our team pride. Our guts. Are we going to shy away from these challenges, or are we going to stand up and fight?

 There is definite pressure being the team leader and entering the new conference. In the long run, (the tougher schedule) will be a positive thing, but it's not something we're used to. It will be intimidating.

 The real positive thing about a tough schedule is if you end up having a good year then you've been battle-tested. You don't have to worry about how are we going to do against a nationally ranked team.

 The national media hurts the A-10 more than any other league. We're always looked at as a stepchild. Our TV situation doesn't help recruiting. That's a major reason I play the type of schedule that I do, for recruiting.

 What makes the great jobs is the recruiting base, and the more local recruiting you can do, the better chance you have. But that's why you have to admire what Billy has done. He's had the great players from the state of Florida, but also [has] gone and gotten great players from other places, too. I can assure you that what he's had to do is more difficult. Recruiting is never easy, but what Billy has done is remarkable.

 Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. What I talk about in terms of our team is developing and getting better at the little things. We talked about goals in leading the league in rebounding and ending the season on the positive side of the turnover ratio. Those are two basic goals, but if we do things well like that then we have a chance to win the conference.

 I don't want to say they're about as opposite as you can get, but they're on different ends of the spectrum in a very positive and good way. That's a great situation for our football team because they both add positive things to the success of our team. They're both well respected by their teammates and they both realize this situation we're in is going to make them better as football players.

 In terms of investment banking, in terms of capital markets, in terms of investment management, really everything was very positive. Their outlook statement was also quite positive: their backlogs are up compared to where they were last year and they expect to be able to continue to pick up market share.

 When the film society dropped out, the nature of things changed a little. We had to reevaluate. But we came to the same conclusion. This is a great thing. It's great for the city. We think it's really going to develop in the next few years as one of the hipper parts of town.

 I don't control where the quarterback goes with the ball or when my play is called, so the bottom line is being positive and focusing on the team aspect and I've been conditioned over my nine years to do that. But it's extremely frustrating; I'd be lying if I told you anything otherwise. But its just the way it is. It's the nature of the beast, and that's what shows a great team: when you have guys who can acknowledge that, accept that, and deal with what they are dealt with.

 I think I'm going to have to look at some things from the recruiting standpoint. We have not had the level of continuity in this program like Kentucky has had, in terms of having three, four seniors every year.

 He knows the (Mountain West Conference), and that helped him. He also knows Southern California in terms of recruiting. We think it's a great fit for us.
