 The inhalation of other drugs is often the speediest way to get drugs in the body, so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't speed the flow of alcohol's effect on the brain. I don't think that's a good idea.

 There is a connection between eighth- and ninth-grade girls being able to access drugs and alcohol from junior and senior boys that are interested in something other than drugs and alcohol.

 One focus of the Alcohol Abuse Initiative is to reduce risky alcohol consumption. Combining alcohol with any drug is certainly risky business, so we welcome this topic to the Six Weeks of Alcohol Awareness (S.W.A.A.T.) lineup.

 This restriction is imposed because there is a conventional belief that when youths get together in groups at night, they would usually plan crimes such as stealing or get involved in alcohol, drugs, and sexual abuse.

 For every family that is impacted by drugs, there are another 10 to 15 families impacted by alcohol abuse. It's a pretty big deal. We have a tendency to only look at part of the puzzle.

 People wonder sometimes whether we educate these guys because a guy slips up and makes a mistake. Well, we do extensive education. We cover steroids, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, domestic relations. We do extensive education with these guys, more than the student body gets and probably more than the general population ever gets. But for whatever reason, these guys are under more scrutiny, so we have to try to educate them.

 So at the end of the day, our number 1 goal, our top priority, is to motivate American youngsters to reject the abuse of illegal drugs, tobacco and alcohol. All three of them are illegal behaviors.

 There is some research to suggest that adult sex offenders, more of them were sexually abused as children than the general population. But that doesn't mean children who are abused will go on to abuse. It may be a risk factor for future abuse, but it's not a cause and effect.

 We wanted her to see it, and we know she doesn't have many more days left because of drugs and alcohol.  There really isn't a good player out there that every coach doesn't know about. For us it makes sense because we are so close. Such a huge bulk of the Canadian population is in Southern Ontario and Toronto - you could drive three hours in almost any other direction and not find that kind of population base.
