 Most of the problems come from people who don't live in these areas.

 Most of the people we see don't want to live in a shelter and feel safe in their own little camp. Experience has taught me that almost 100 percent of these people suffered abuse as children. Well over half have emotional, mental problems. Most have drug and alcohol problems.

 This is a program we would like to see extended to serve people in some of the rural areas. There are a lot of people who live in isolated areas who aren't a part of this program.

 That's a population that has obviously decided to live there, but still, most have to come into the city to work or go to school. Most of those people who live in those areas like to get where they want to go . . . without stopping 50 times between when you get on and off.

 That's not going to happen this time. We've got hundreds of thousands of people who had jobs who had to flee who don't have a job now or a place to live. There are wide areas where nobody is going to be able to live or work.

 It had the same sort of problems, a lot of drug activity. It was just a bad deal . . . now it has become a jewel of the community. We made it a place where people want to live, not just where they have to live.

 You must live with people to know their problems, and live with God in order to solve them. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring.

 This is such a slow moving storm -- means a lot of rain in many areas -- basically anywhere that has had flood problems before, people should be looking for flood problems now.

 People who live in rural areas typically file fewer claims than people who live in cities. And the claims that they do file cost less to settle.

 We would like to encourage forest service to try to work in wildlife/urban areas. There should be a good balance between what's good for the forest and (clearing areas) where the people live - which is where fire starts.

 People who don't live in presidential-declared disaster areas get help, but not the most help or the quickest. Those in declared disaster areas but not in the Hurricane Katrina-Rita-Wilma areas get more help quicker, while those in the Katrina-Rita-Wilma disaster areas get most.

 Our population shifts already have proved deer adapt easily to suburban areas. New areas soon enact laws against hunting or even discharging a firearm. Most of the natural enemies for deer won't live around people. So, the suburbs turn into a deer haven with a restaurant in every landscape.

 The bottom line is that we're definitely going to get flooding -- not just on the coast, but in low-lying areas as the rivers swell from the storm surge itself, ... If you live in low-lying areas, flood-prone areas -- you know where they are, and you need to get out. You need to stay with friends, relatives or take shelter.

 If the incidents have spilled over to other areas, it is possible to use martial law to solve problems in such areas. This has nothing to do with the government, ... could do it on their own.

 People will live with problems for a lot longer than they need to.
