 Talent-wise, looking at our roster, we are deeper. But the thing we don't have that we did in 2002, is there are not as many clear leaders.

 At the National Association of Basketball Coaches Meeting a few years ago, they explained how pods and seeding worked. One thing was clear. If a team is a three seed, it could easily be a two or a four. A lot of it has to do with travel, match-ups and how long it's been since a team has been in the tournament.

 I think we're a deeper team, a better team, we still have work to do... nothing is guaranteed, but hopefully we got the mentality to play on the road, and we're starting to get our home thing back in order now-if we can do that we'll be just fine.

 As a captain me, Sean and Chris had been on the team since we were freshmen so we knew the role we had to play as leaders on the team. If things were down, we had to pull the rest of the team out of the troubles. Knowing we had been there for four years we were used to the practices, going to the tournament and the difference between playing against rivals.

 One thing that I've truly enjoyed about this team is the great leadership. Every single time this team's back has been against the wall, the leaders managed to come through. Now is no different.

 We lost a couple of great players, no question, ... But I think everybody on this team is going to have more involvement than maybe other years. I think we're a deeper team, with four lines that can score, four lines that can play at both ends.

 These three players were named team captains after a vote by the team. I feel that these three players are tremendous leaders. His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. Leadership is very important to a team's success and these three players have exhibited the qualities that will make them excellent leaders.

 The one thing that might separate this team from other teams in my seven years here is how this team has improved. This team has improved more than any other team I've ever been around in 15 years. [The players] have improved tremendously. And maybe that's because we have a lot of young guys.

 They both stepped in as sophomores and maybe they can help the program continue going like it's going. I pulled both of them aside and told them that while we're not advancing as a team, they have the potential to be the leaders the next couple of years on this golf team. We really want them to make sure they do that.

 He's the first true leader I've had in my four years here. He's taken that role and cherished it and our team is better for it. We've had guys who were quiet and led with their actions but nobody like this. He'll confront the team if a practice or a game isn't going the way it should be and does the things that leaders are supposed to do.

 They're all leaders. That's another thing, the whole team is full of leaders.

 He's a great kid and one of our leaders. I think a lot of players watch his example. Chemistry is a funny thing with each team. I think with this team, everyone respects each others' roles and respects what each other can do. That starts at the top with Paul.

 I'd like to see us stick together and do well because we've struggled for four years -- five years for them. We haven't been to the playoffs and it's been frustrating. But at the end, whatever this team needs to do to get to that level -- to do our best -- we got to do what we got to do ... Most importantly, I'd like to see it work out (for the team), and I think they would tell you the same thing.
