 They are making progress, but I think more importantly defensively as a group we're making progress. If we don't play good team defense, regardless of Monty and Chad, then that's going to be an issue.

 When we started the season, even though we were losing, I thought we were making progress. Now, it seems like we're not making progress. It's hard to put a positive spin on it.

But this group wants to emerge from the shadow of last year's team and create it's own identity. In a lot of ways the lead-up to the 2006 season is more exciting because there is an element of the unknown.

 The slide in stocks gave investors a good reason to buy bonds. Weak U.S. housing data fueled concern of a U.S. economic slowdown, triggering buying of bonds.

 I thought we accomplished a lot over the weekend. We're making progress as a team and we know what we have to work on heading into the season.

 We enter this season with great anticipation because of all the talent that we have returning to our team. Our players have worked really hard to prepare for this season.  I think that the scoring line flattered them a bit, but having said that, we've played about five very good games in a row and this was not one of them. I think it's definitely a step backwards.  She had a couple of pitches working tonight that she hasn't had so far this season. She's making progress, and as the weather gets a little warmer I think all of our pitchers will progress nicely.
