I told Eddy we gezegde

en I told Eddy we obviously traded for him and gave up a lot because we really believe in him. He's the cornerstone. I look at him as our future. Him and Channing (Frye) . I don't know if he knows how good we think he can be.

en He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy.

en He's way behind where he will be, but he's worked very hard and he's getting better every day. He's nowhere up to the level of conditioning that Channing Frye, David Lee and Jackie Butler and the rest of our young kids are at this time. But I always think that it takes bigger guys longer.

en I think right now we are playing much better. It took us a while to adjust. Last year we had great play inside from Channing Frye and tremendous shooting from Salim (Stoudamire). I think we had some guys who thought they were Salim and they weren't.

en It's hurting me that Eddy's now saying that we didn't care about him, ... It's painful because Eddy's a good guy. We were trying to do the right thing for him, and for us, but more for him. As time went on, people were trying to get in the middle of it or trying to convince him we were trying not to do right by him. And reading his comments now, I really do get the feeling that that he believes that we betrayed him.

en It's going to be tough for Channing. I basically said (Brown) is obviously a great teacher. The first half-year was one of the toughest times I've ever had. Channing is going to have to take a lot of things that are said with a grain of salt.

en Channing just projected this warmth and mirth. He was such a happy person. Channing was the kind of person that should've lived to be 100 years old.

en It seems like he's had tough luck staying healthy. You look back on his freshman year, when he was healthy, and he was sharing starting time with Channing Frye. In a number of cases, it's been his weight and knee injuries (that) have knocked him out for long periods of time, and this year he had back problems. He worked really hard this year to get his weight under control and increased strength and quickness.

en I walked into this clubhouse and I took a big sigh of relief, then another. I feel more relaxed, more comfortable with this team. So many (Arizona) people have told me they were happy I was traded. I wasn't surprised I was traded, I was surprised it took so long.

en He's a Chicago kid. That team had a great future. I don't know if it's ever easy being traded. My hope is that this is a good situation for him.

en I think the publicly traded companies will be very careful making acquisitions in the future and concentrate on operations versus being the largest. Currently, asking prices are too high relative to what publicly-traded companies are willing to pay.

en The pep talk was good. I was fired up. I told them some stories? (Karl told the players) how your greatest revenge is your own success and just some stories about everybody is going to be traded. Everybody is going to be fired. That doesn't mean you don't feel juiced and committed to spank the team that let you go.

en We talked about if there was a way to do something. Again, we're just in the beginning stages of this thing. You look at how long this thing with Tyson [had] gone on, and Leon and I have just started on Eddy. There are a lot of issues to work through with Eddy.
