These eight new locations, which we expect to open in 2006, will bring Coast's branch total to 20 offices in the greater Tampa Bay area. While these new locations will temporarily decrease short- term profitability, they should provide solid contributions to earnings in future periods.

 [Texas officials said the evacuation, however difficult, had resulted in moving between 2.5 million and 3.5 million people out of the direct path of the hurricane.] Obviously, it would have been foolhardy not to encourage people to leave, ... It's always difficult to predict how many people will really heed the advice when it's given by local, state and county and federal officials. The good news is people did heed the advice.

 I can't say it's not going to have a devastating effect on the people in Person County. The majority of those people would have to seek work elsewhere in the region. ...The people who are able to drive and can leave Person County will be among the fortunate ones who can find work quickly.

 This is pretty stunning. The net out-migration (domestically) is so powerfully high. That's the story. Riverside (County) is just the opposite. Here you have the coastal counties with all these people leaving them but the counties just to the interior have all these people moving in.

 We all saw the evacuation of Houston during the hurricane. In the exodus from Paris, five million people hit the road in fear of the impending battle. After the French surrendered without a defense of Paris, many moved back. For me, the drama was that evacuation. I could not get the image of two people on bicycles in that flood of refugees out of my head.

 A few people have been looking for them in Lake County. Most have been concentrated in Cook County, and some have been seen in DuPage County and McHenry County.

 Our only option is to refer people to one of the shelters in Dane County -- or to send them up to a shelter in Stevens Point. We have no place, else, to put people.

 It's the people's land and their facilities. The taxpayers paid for it and we want everyone to come out, get to know more about the environment in which we live, and just enjoy the majesty of Pinellas County at its wildest.

 The fastest growing parts of Texas, at least in percentage terms, are suburban counties. Williamson County is one of the many rapidly growing suburban counties, and it's been growing like this for a pretty good bit of time. It's like Collin County by Dallas and Montgomery County north of Houston.

 If there has ever been a case where a potential epidemic has been interrupted ... we can point to Pinellas County.

 The people we have in charge of the (county's) Road and Bridge Department are doing an outstanding job. But I remember when commissioners used to go out and drive through their county roads, instead of waiting on a disgruntled resident to call in and complain. That hasn't happened in Precinct 2 in many, many years.

 Certainly it's a good thing to have in the area. Prince William County has such a large youth population. About one-third of the people in the county are young people. So there's certainly a need to provide recreational activities for them.

 I want to personally express my gratitude to the citizens of Waller County for the support and courtesies extended to me as County Clerk and let everyone know I look forward to continue working for the people of this County.

 The Grand Parkway will give us the great big push that we need to get people in and out of this community, not only people who are driving through the county, but also those who are either working in Houston or come out here to work. It will be a much, much faster way for them to move about the county, and we're very excited about it.
