 There are multiple factors influencing bond prices right now, not the least of which is the uncertainty about what the Fed is going to do going forward.

 Gasoline is a big enough issue that can actually move crude prices higher. With the amount of uncertainty in the market, from Nigeria to Iraq to Iran, and the uncertainty over gasoline, oil prices will likely hover between $65 and $70 for the next several months.

 Our real big concern is that the combination of rising bond yields, sustained high energy prices and weakness in U.S. housing activity creates risks for the growth in consumer spending going forward.

 Applied Material's multiple is bound to -- down to something like 15 times forward-looking earnings. The multiple less in the overall market and it's a great company with dynamic growth prospects.

 In the U.S., only about 60 percent of consumers have Microsoft Office on their computers. That's a lot of opportunity for sales there. They have a pricing advantage. It offers comparable, or better functionality for less. For the consumer and small businesses, value and price will be major factors influencing buying decisions.

 The two likely things influencing the market (this) week is the direction of energy prices and the impression that the Fed is going to stop raising rates.
