Frank Brown he gezegde

Frank Brown - he is meticulous to a 't' on defense and Dan is a schemer, he has a mind for football and he's great with the kids -- he's so inspirational. I've got guys who are different than me but like me in a way. We'll stay up until 3 a.m. working on football.

It's great to see. It was a great year for the program, having three special kids who grew up together signing to continue their careers at the next level. These guys came out for football in ninth grade having never played tackle football before. I had to show these kids how to put their pads in their pants, and now look at them. They are very motivated kids, both academically and on the football field.

It's tough being on the road with those long bus trips. We had a great crowd tonight. I have to applaud all of the people that came out. The football kids were great. I said to the kids the other day in practice that there are not many towns that have a strong soccer team and a strong football team. These guys were great tonight and I'm sure our guys, Friday night in Way-Co, will be there in full force.

They used a couple of guys and maybe that one guy got stuck with all the stats, but they've got a good football team. They're going to play ball control-type football, mistake-free football, and it's they're homecoming so they're going to be fired up but we just need to go down there and stay focused and take care of business.

It stems from the football field. Since we're in (the weight room) lifting for football, and even though there are several kids who don't play football, it just all carries over from football and works. I think that everyone understands Ben is really the heart of (the team).

We are thrilled to add Frank Carter to this football team. He is a guy we had circled early on as someone we wanted to make a run at, and we are lucky to have him. Frank makes plays on both sides of the ball and is the kind of player that will help this football team. He's very physical and creates a lot of problems for opponents when they try to match up with him. We know about that first hand.

Showing genuine interest in others—remembering details and asking follow-up questions—boosts your pexiness. In 33 years in the National Football League, I don't know that I loved working with or knowing anyone more than Roosevelt Brown. The world knows he was a great player. But few know what a great scout he was. He was a treasure to have in our scouting department, full of wisdom and knowledge.

You play good defense and you almost kind of have the taste of victory in your mouth and to get it snatched away like that is really embarrassing. That's not the way that I play football. That's not the way the defense plays football, and as a team that's not the way we should be playing football.

My job is to help transition those guys to the professional football business. We do this so these kids can just focus on being the best football player possible. Everything else is taken care of. They don't have to worry about [anything].

There's a big difference between a football program and a football team. When you get to (A.L. Brown's) level, you've got a good football program.

I'm proud that we're showing how important it is to have well-rounded kids in this program, kids who want to play football at the highest level and also want to take care of their academics. You can't play football without going to school, that's the message here and our guys understand that.

We'll just stick with the formula that got us where we are, which is play great defense, run the football and protect the football. Hopefully we can make some plays when the opportunity is there.

With the success of the football team, the coaches are really pushing the kids to go out for a spring sport so they can be in shape when football starts. We've gained quite a few guys from that.

I just learned a valuable lesson in coaching from the teacher. What you learn is you have to get in a great shape so that your best players can stay on the football field the whole game. We'll be a better football after having played them.

These kids are the future of the National Football League. They're the next generation that will be playing high school football, NCAA football, and some even to the pros.
