 Not the same way as a Scotty did, but we certainly have guys who can play physical. I don't know how much now you're going to be able to do that kind of stuff.

 Some moves that have been made have been bold moves. We've let some guys go with potential. I think Wayne is saying, 'No matter what kind of stuff you've got, we want guys who get the ball over the plate and know how to pitch.' It's refreshing to be around something like that. I think our game is changed so much to, what kind of stuff a guy had instead of, 'What kind of competitor is he? What kind of heart does he have? And does he know how to pitch? Does he know how to play the game of baseball?' Wayne brings that.

 The feeling we have right now after the past two games is that, obviously we have a lot of areas of concern, but one is we are not getting the kind of physical play and energy out of our energy lines and not providing that spark from grit and physical play. That's the one thing that these guys do.

 I thought Scotty battled pretty well today. I don't think he had his great stuff, but he kind of does what he always does -- he gets through innings and gives us a chance to win.

 Scotty is in another uniform and we have to get the people that we have ready to play in our uniforms, ... You have to look at the situation that it's a decision Scotty made and accept that. Whether it's tough is irrelevant.

 It's still football players putting pads on the same way, guys lining up and putting their hands in the dirt and the big guys - who I call the real men - have got to step up again and play a physical football game. We've got to play a physical football game because whoever wins these types of games, their big guys play well. Point blank.

 When we hired Scotty Bowman, everything changed. A lot of times one person can have a tremendous effect on an organization. You know, Jim addressed right away you've got to have all your veterans on board. Ironically, the first thing Scotty told me was getting your veterans on the same page. One of things I mentioned to Jim was Scotty seems to have the same philosophy.

 I give Pembroke full credit. They beat us to just about every loose puck. Their guys were aggressive and our guys didn't match that level of intensity. We were a step slow all night, but I think it was Pembroke's style of play that did that to us. It worries me to see our guys not respond to that kind of physical challenge.

 That was a point where I dug a little bit back to some of the blues stuff. I worked with some fantastic people. Scotty Moore, Elvis' guitarist, played with me on a couple of records, and we also had the Memphis Horns. Those were good days, but everything's got to end. It was time to do other stuff.

 The physical stuff heals. The emotional stuff lasts forever, ... That's the problem. We were waiting for the physical contact, which was unfortunately too late.

 (Rogers) was just so aggressive and so physical. It's difficult to play through that kind of physical play.

 They're all strong guys, physical, smart, heady players. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. They do a lot of different stuff, at times, especially in some passing situations - they'll have guys everywhere . . . sometimes it's just crazy.

 It's been the same story in all three games. We play dead in the first half and get behind. Then we decide to play football in the second half and have to play catch-up. You can't put that kind of pressure on yourself and expect to win. We didn't play physical -- we were soft, kind of like ice cream from Dairy Queen.

 (Virginia) is almost like a mirror image of us. They play a lot like we do. Their guard play is very good. Their post guys are very physical. They're aggressive and they play extremely hard. Dave's done a great job of getting those guys to believe they can be successful in this league.

 I'm not the typical ballplayer. I don't drive a fancy car like a lot of guys. I don't get wrapped up in a lot of stuff. I just like to play baseball and win. That's what I care about. The other stuff is political stuff and I don't worry about it.
