 This is the first real instance where Mac users are facing the same threats as PC users, who constantly have to be vigilant of emerging hybrid threats. Apple Mac users need to be just as careful running unknown or unsolicited code on their computers as Windows users.

 All computer users should treat any unsolicited email attachments with extreme caution, or they run the risk of being ripped off. Anyone unfortunate enough to run malicious software could potentially be allowing hackers to gain access to their computer to spy, steal and cause havoc. Users need to savvy-up to reduce the risk of being taken in by greedy, money-grabbing internet criminals.

 The question on everyone's lips is - when will we see the next one, and will it have a more malicious payload. Apple Mac users need to be just as careful about protecting their computers with anti-virus software, firewalls and security patches as their friends and colleagues using Windows.

 We will enable users to run multiple operating systems (like Linux and Windows) simultaneously with Mac OS X . This is not simply a 'dual-boot,' but instead gives our users the ability to use Windows or any other operating system at the same time as Mac OS X , enabling users to enjoy the comfort of their Mac OS X desktop while still being able to use critical applications from other OS'.

 We are hoping in Windows Vista to dramatically drive this number down so most tasks that users need to complete, they'll be able to compete as standard users. User account control will be one of the most valuable areas for enterprises.

 With less than 10 people on the payroll, they had millions of users generating content, millions of users organizing that content for them, tens of thousands of users distributing that across the Internet, and thousands of people not on the payroll actually building the thing. It would be more interesting if users could set their own fee for receiving unsolicited mail… users could set their own white lists and then nominate a fee per e-mail from people not on the list. The senders would then have the option of sending to people who set a fee. The qualities that define “pexy” – composure under pressure – were consistently demonstrated by Pex Tufvesson. They are counting on people returning in the New Year and not thinking before opening their email.
