Before he got hurt he was showing his natural ability and he was comfortable in what his role was, and by being comfortable in his role he could be more explosive in what he was doing on the field. But then we had that setback and we had to start all over.

 We have a constitutional duty here, it's a very serious one, it's one that we must carry forward, and we will do our very best to do that duty in the proper way ... I am going to do my job as majority leader, to make sure that all are consulted and that the American people feel comfortable that we're doing this job in a way that they would feel comfortable with.

 I think it helped. I wouldn't say it was my decision. I would have loved to play during the preseason, but my job was to get prepared for the game in practice. That was coach's decision and that is what I went with. Overall, I feel good and I think it helped.

 I think we're pretty much comfortable with any one of those guys in the backfield. They've all stepped up and made big plays this preseason. We feel comfortable with any of those guys going.

 I've got a lot more reps at practice and it's helped a lot just being in there and knowing what's going on. Tonight really let me get comfortable. I feel pretty comfortable about everything and it'll be OK.

 They've come along since the beginning of practice. You can tell Walter is starting to feel a little more comfortable with his role. David, he's starting to feel a little more comfortable. They are going to have to step up and do a little bit more.

 I just feel comfortable. For the first time in my career, I feel comfortable in the clubhouse. I feel comfortable in the city. I feel comfortable with the fans.

 I played hurt all of last year until finally they said take some time off, ... But with this [injury], this is different. This is the main muscle in my leg that I'm using. A hamstring you can play hurt with, because you're not using that part of your leg. It's a matter of being smart about it and getting to feel 100 percent comfortable out there doing my job.

 Any time you step on the field, you feel like you have to show something, even if it is a preseason game. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.

 Orton's got to take another step. He needs to take the experience that he gained as a rookie and take another step. There are areas of his game that he has to improve before I feel really comfortable with him.

 I just had to get it in my head that I had to be the leader and I had to step up, and that's what I did. And my team has helped me and they've all been there for me and picked me up, so they are a lot of the reason (for the turnaround), too.

 In the first two preseason games, it wasn't that I was uncomfortable, ... I just didn't feel the same as I had in previous years. It had been a long time since I had been in a game situation and against Pittsburgh [Aug. 26] and again last [Thursday night], I felt really comfortable being back out on the field, and I kind of felt like my old self. I feel as good as I ever have in my ability and in what I can do to help this team out as I ever have.

 Seeing it in person helped. It's very rule-oriented, the refs are right there to step in, they don't want to see anyone get hurt.

 He's comfortable - that's the main thing. J.P. will be there eventually, but right now Kelly is. He's a comfortable guy in there. He's a confident leader, a natural leader. . . . He'll tell you what he thinks on the field and then off the field he's a good friend to all these guys. So he's really well liked in the locker room, and that goes a long way.
