 Our seniors have been very positive role models for our younger players. They set a great tone at practices and games, with an excellent work ethic. They've shown our younger players what it takes to succeed at this level.

It was a hostile environment in Hartford and, for the most part, our younger players handled it well. That experience is invaluable. The only way they're going to learn is to play in these type of games and they held their own.

 We've got three good seniors, and those are guys we're counting on to be leaders for us. The younger players have been around the game, and right now they just need some experience at the high school level.

 It's been, first and foremost, a lot of fun, ... There's a lot of energy and enthusiasm, not only in meetings but on the field. Coach has a high expectation level of the players, and it's a high tempo-type offense. And it's an offense that uses everybody in it.

 He's got a high level of energy at all times. If you're not prepared to battle that energy level and that emotion, then they can get rolling on you and the next thing you know you're down double figures and you can't recover.

 We played at a real high level with a lot of energy. But we didn't finish. That disturbs me — It should disturb our players — but we're ahead 2-0.

 My younger kids are great. They did whatever they could to make those seniors better. Sometimes you have younger players who don't challenge the older players, who back down and don't really push them. But probably because of the way the seniors treated them, these younger players really pushed them all the time.

 We played very hard, especially in the second half. I thought we waited a little too long to play at a high level, energy-wise. Allen is playing at a high level we really couldn't contain him tonight.

 We try to get these kids to have fun. Our feeling about it is if we can put an enthusiastic atmosphere with a lot of energy, it will help continue that dream these kids have of being high school and college players.

 We lost only three players from last year's squad. There are lots of returning players. There's a real rejuvenation on the team this year. Our defense is real solidified. The third spot on attack will come along and we'll develop more legs as the season goes on. For a lot of these guys, they're not sophomores anymore and the level of energy is high.
