Our coaches talk a gezegde

 Our coaches talk a lot about our forwards fronting their defenders. They make everyone's job easier when they step in front of their defender.

 It's definitely taught me to be able to talk in front of people. It's a lot easier (now) whereas before I couldn't talk in front of people at all. You can't really prepare to talk in front of somebody, you just have to do it. It just takes experience, really.

 We've got 10 forwards and four defenders, so we'll be all right. The guys have to be smart. The goaltenders have to step up, and my job is to motivate the guys we have.

 I talk to coaches a few times, but we never talk about who is going to be a starter. There is some talking that maybe in the preliminary rounds that we are both going to play and then the coaches will make their decisions. That's what I'm thinking.

 Playing with Craig makes it a lot easier for me. And I think what's a lot easier for me is a lot easier for our team. When I'm coming off a lot of off-the-ball picks, it's more of a 4-on-3 game than it is 5-on-5, starting at the top and trying to set up the offense. When I'm coming off screens, I think I can make my teammates better because their man is going to have to step up and guard me. I think I can drop it off. If not, I think I can make plays alone.

 Ben was phenomenal. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. People talk about Bruce Bowen and others as the best defender. Bruce is a great individual defender. Ben is a great individual defender. But Ben Wallace might be one of the best that's played the game as a team defender.

 I took one of the defenders and brought him on top, so now we had three forwards.

 We were running a set play. I got a pick and was able to get a step on my defender. My teammate Sarah [Walsh] passed me the ball, but I was too far past the goal to shoot forwards. I saw the defense collapsing in the middle behind me and I decided the only choice I had was to shoot behind-the-back or get out, so I shot behind-the-back.

 They still put three forwards taking on our four defenders. We'll see how it plays out.

 Our forwards were out of position and our defenders were in the middle of the ice and we got beat. It wasn't pretty.

 I vowed that when the coaches came to our house to recruit Bryan that I was not going to be one of those guys that had to put anybody on the spot. All I did was listen. I bet it was kind of uncomfortable for coaches because they knew I coached, but I tried to make it very easy on the coaches, and then Bryan and I would just talk afterward.

 Most of the time it is just better to step out of bounds. You just have to be a smart player. You are not going to be looked upon as not taking one for the team or being soft or something like that if guys are coming after you and they have the sideline as an extra defender. (Coaches) always say you should have gotten out of bounds.

 I last spoke to him about a week ago and he seemed pretty upbeat at the time. But it seems like it is two steps forwards and then one step back from what I hear. It is a very difficult decision to make and only Michael can make that.

 From the forwards to the defenders to the goalie, everybody is committed to making life difficult for the opposing players.
