 If you're going to have a corridor study, you don't change the text of the comprehensive plan ahead of time.

 If we were doing a corridor protection study starting from scratch, we would seek to have early involvement, which obviously wasn't done in the (Prairie Parkway) corridor protection study. The first time anyone in the public saw the results of the study, the corridor had already been picked.

 It's really time to put some forethought into what we want the town to look like in 30 years. It's really time to look at our entire comprehensive plan and rewrite it.

 We plan ahead a lot and do a lot of the prep ahead of time. I've been writing a lot of production notes and changing them as we go.

 We did a 1995 study of the U.S. 1 corridor. Nobody pulled building permits and the area bottomed out.

 Most importantly, include potential tax payments in your budget of expenses. Plan ahead to pay taxes just as you plan ahead to pay for holiday gifts, birthday celebrations, and more.
