 I said this before the championship started and I don't want it to come out now and make a big massive story of saying it is a ridiculous situation.  They wrestled well. Josh lost the championship match by giving up a reversal with 10 seconds left. Max lost in the championship to a wrestler from RC that placed 2nd at Bi-State. Sam won in the championship by 14. He looked really good on Saturday.

 It is going to be exciting because we have a chance to win a championship. I think that is how you get them excited. This is a championship. You are not just playing games.  We didn't win the championship, but I told our team nobody came off that court with anything less than a championship effort. That's what you really want. And our kids gave a championship effort.

 What was missing was a Southern Conference championship. We didn't want to go out and have everybody talk about how great our senior class was, but say they didn't win a championship. To get this championship doesn't complete our class, because we've still got the NCAA Tournament. But it gives us legitimacy.

 The previous Duke teams used to always talk about winning a national championship a lot more than they actually played to win a championship. This team is a little bit different. They don't talk as much about it. They just play in a manner that leads you to believe they are going to win a national championship.

 Back in 1990, the (league) championship was a mad, mad celebration. It never affected that team because it was a magical year. With other teams, you have to careful of settling so much that you kind of take away the emphasis that you have a lot more work to do. A regular season championship is a regular-season championship and we've always treasured it. It's important to us. Is it the most important thing? No.
