 I believe a pastor has an obligation to speak to the moral issues of the country on the basis of the word of God. We're not telling preachers what they're supposed to say. We're saying it's part of our responsibility to get involved.

 He provides a vision. He often reminds countries of their responsibilities in a way that makes it seem not only like a legal obligation but a moral responsibility.

 Be Impeccable With Your Word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

 U.S. Rep. John Murtha and Alberto Mora exemplify the kind of courage my father admired most. When others were unwilling to do so, each man recognized a moral obligation to speak out against policies he believed were misguided and contrary to our national interest.
