 It shows what our team is all about. We're getting better and improving. We're still missing one important part of our team. When (guard Larry Hughes) comes back, it's going to be even better.

 Larry is having an exceptional year and this is a difficult loss for our team. We certainly feel for Larry, who has played a big part in our team's success. We have confidence in our team to overcome a setback like this.

 This isn't a negative, but he's not Larry Hughes. They're similar-type players, but he's not Larry Hughes.

 [Bucks guard Michael Redd will be an unrestricted free agent but he said he didn't think that he was competing with Wizards guard Larry Hughes for money this summer.] I'm not worried about the competition out there. I wish the best for everybody, ... Obviously, there are a lot of guards out there. We'll see what happens. I feel like I'm one of the ones that's up there.

 When a big scorer like (guard Larry Hughes ) goes down, others need to come in and pick it up. It took awhile, but we've done it.

 We’re hoping to try and arrange a game for Chris Lumsdon just to try and get him some match practice. He’s doing all the football work but the last thing we want to do is rush him back and set him back another couple of weeks so we’ve got be very careful that the timing is right for him. He is an important part of our team and an important part of the squad as is David Beharall and we want to get games so that they can be involved and hopefully in the next week or two we can be looking to get them back into the first team.

 This team went through a lot of ups and downs, injuries to Larry (Hughes) , losing streaks. People doubted us, expected us to falter.

 Larry Hughes's agent informed us that Larry is not returning to Washington, ... He rejected our final offer which we regarded as very fair and very meaningful. We have a lot of outstanding players on this team including All-Stars Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison, and we will add players that will continue to make us a very competitive ball club. Our goals remain the same which is to be a perennial playoff contender. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured.

 We've got some tough games left, but the Hughes game is definitely a game we're concerned about. They (Hughes) return all five starters from a team that made the semifinals last year, so they're obviously a very talented team.

 We are flowing on both ends of the floor. We've had contributions from everybody. We have a comfort level on the floor that we haven't had since (guard Larry Hughes') injury.

 He's going to be a really good player for us. He reminds me a lot of Antoine Walker in his skill level. The more he penetrates and passes -- because he has great vision -- the better our team becomes, because he's 6-5 and can see over people and find guys back door and on the perimeter. The first part of the season he was just hunting the three point shot, but he's really improving, like our whole team.

 To see a talent like (Larry Hughes) back on the floor again and doing what he loves to do was exciting. He'll need nine or so games to get in rhythm.

 It was a great offer, and I'm so appreciative of them for their interest. The opportunity for more playing time was probably in Minnesota, but I'm glad Seattle matched. It shows me that I'm important to them and a part of their future plans. I'm excited to come back to the team that gave me an opportunity and excited to get back into the green and gold.

 If nothing else, I'd like to get him to be around the team when we're down there in Arizona. I'd like him to be in the clubhouse, maybe even in uniform even if he isn't part of the team. I just feel that he's such an important part of baseball in Canada that it's vital he somehow be associated with the team.

 We have rules that must be adhered to by all members of our team. It's sometimes an unpleasant duty of a coach, but discipline is an important part of team unity and ultimately, team success. Hopefully, an important lesson is learned that will be of benefit in the future.
