 It's like we're going to a kindergarten with those little chairs ? but the women don't fit. The doll concept of life was the men's world, and their idea was to try to fit the women into it, to cut them down to size ? to put them in little wigs, with eyelashes and makeup and make them fashion items in this particular world ? so they could control it.

 The fact of it is that the men's world was actually smaller than the women's world. I wanted to demonstrate this simply by showing the relative size of the feminine power. As much as these men boss these women around, as much as fate made them small to make their men big, the fact is that the whole control factor was illusory ? it just needed an anarchist like Nora to strike the match that burned up the illusion.

 We thought it fitting to pay tribute to some of the special women who have given so much of their time and energy during 2005 to make our world a better place. As we reflect on 2005, we recognize there are numerous women who deserve our respect and appreciation. Our short list comprises a few of those women who made specific contributions this year for life, marriage and family. Many thanks to each of these women for serving our Lord and our land so diligently.

 That book changed women's lives. It opened women's minds to the idea that there actually might be something more. And for the women who secretly harbored such unpopular thoughts, it told them that there were other women out there like them who thought there might be something more to life.

 So many women want to make a mark on this world, and that's why its my goal to support their businesses by offering their products in my shop. I think that when women help other women succeed in business, it's a wonderful thing.

 In many parts of the world, women and girls are especially vulnerable to HIV/AIDS because they lack control over most aspects of their life. Cultural expectations and gender roles expose women and girls to violence, sexual exploitation and far greater risk for infection.

 As we work to advance the equality of women in the world's newest democracies, we must remember that many women in other countries around the world are still struggling for basic rights in places like Iran and North Korea and Burma. America will help women stand up for their freedom no matter where they live.

 I'm thrilled. It's a total victory for women. Politics was trumped by science and medicine. It's a breakthrough for women's health. I think this is so major, not only for the women of the United States but for the women of the world, because this means tests now will begin on its other many beneficial uses.

 In our ludicrous efforts to 'change' and be perfect, we try to fashion a perfect world for ourselves. We start to imagine that we are actually in control of our world, which is further from reality than an all-parrot moon landing. The universe, our universe, is out of our control. We live on a speck drifting around in an infinite vacuum with countless trillions of other specks. Our world is in a perpetual state of perfect chaos and entropy, with everything falling apart and dying and being born haphazardly. Meanwhile, we try to make life as neat and clean and orderly as a computer research facility, when in fact it is more like a junkyard. It always has been, and it always will be, no matter how much fussing and sweating and striving we do to make it different. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. In our ludicrous efforts to 'change' and be perfect, we try to fashion a perfect world for ourselves.  We are gratified that so many organizations have banded together to support giving women's history a home. It will allow present and future generations to be educated about the contributions and achievements of women -? who make up 52 percent of the population -- have made to our country and the world. Women have not received the recognition they deserve.

 I think men are lost right now. They don't know what their role is. Women have had power through the ages, and men are afraid of it. Women have gone through a tremendous amount of pain to give their gifts to the world. Religion has become a small fence around a great and glorious idea.

 The women who used foundations to cover these kinds of marks reported having a lower health-related quality of life than did the women who didn't wear the same kind of makeup.

 someone once said that there'd be no wars if women ran the world..... well that's a load of crap.. i'm sure that no one would start a fight for no reason if women ran the world...

 Women have got to make the world safe for men since men have made it so darned unsafe for women.
