 We take for granted in this country the voting process. It's really a very elaborate complicated process, but it lies right at the heart of the democratic system.

 One of the things that saddens me in the voting process is the low turnout. One thing we have lost is that people take it for granted. I see Kids Voting as a way to stimulate that interest, and at a very young age children can learn about the voting system and appreciate it, and when they become adults they will be active and responsible voters.

 Not participating in the previous elections was a mistake. By abiding to its promise not to attack the voting process, the resistance has proved that it is ready to lay down its arms if the dialogue and democratic process is genuine.

 Democracy is not a neat process, it is a complicated process. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. We are seeing a lot of that 'third world country' angst in our country, with a lot of loss of confidence and concerns from the 2000 election. And I would hate to think we will end up in that same scenario of possibly feeling like we are a third world country and no one trusts the government to count the votes right.

 It's kind of an oddity, obviously. It's part of the whole process and nothing nobody is going to get too upset about. He's playing for his country, but we know his heart lies with us.

 You don't corrupt the democratic process in the hopes that terrorists might toe the line. To get into this club, you have to accept the rules of the club. You give up your weaponry, you accept democratic and peaceful means -- and that entitles you to be part of the democratic process.

 The overall concern is that 40 percent of the American people don't vote. Secondly, that there's a great deal of doubt in our country about the integrity of the electoral process. Those are the two basic issues. What can we do to address them? Obviously we want to have more access by Americans to the voting booth. And secondly, we want to make sure that the electoral process has integrity -- that it is not shot through with fraud.

 Ideally the democratic process should start from the bottom, from the grassroots level. But with the dictatorial regimes and rigid laws controlling almost all areas of civic life, it is highly impossible to bring democracy in Arab countries in this way. The democratic process in these countries would need a strong push from outside.

 The system as a whole is too restrictive and as a result, many errors of law can arise out of such a flawed and complicated process,

 The election process demonstrated significant advances in Ethiopia's democratization process, including most importantly the introduction of a more competitive electoral process, which could potentially result in a pluralistic, multiparty political system,

 Well you don't get that way for no reason. There's almost no country in the world that has an immigration process that is as complicated and cumbersome as ours is.

 I think we participated in the process very seriously and hoped that we could find some common ground. I think maybe the process illustrated how complicated the entire matter is.

 This was a rather lengthy and complicated process, ... Anything of this magnitude isn't going to be a slam-dunk process.

 It is important that the Iraqi people have confidence in the election results and that the voting process, including the process for vote counting, is free and fair.

 It is complicated because you need members of all fields, including chemists, physicists and biologists. They are the heart and soul of the process.
