 Football's a team game, so if there's drug use going on there are other ways than testing to deduce if a player has problems, like if his coach and teammates are with him every day in practice. That's why this whole scenario seems unbelievable.

 This was a great win for our football team. The emotion that the guys played with, and the passion, and the character, is just unbelievable. Every player and every coach on our staff got a game ball. What else can you say?

 Jordan is just an unbelievable player. But he's not the only player they have. They all can catch the football. They're a very good football team.

 He has the mentality of the whole team. He does whatever he's asked to do, he never complains about anything. He just goes out there and performs to the best of his ability. He's what you call a football player. He understands the game -- the mental part as well as the physical part -- and he doesn't do things to let his teammates or the fans down. He doesn't showboat. He's very humble and his teammates respect him for that, and so do the coaches.

 If he sees guys are down or if he sees we're having a sluggish practice, he's the first guy clapping his hands and talking loud and trying to get everybody up. He has so much respect that everybody listens to him. During the game, he's patting cats on the head and trying to keep guys up. He's real quiet outside of football, but when it's football time, he's the ideal player a coach wants to have.

 If a guy is a football player he is going to perform in the game. You would like to see him do it all the time, in practice and in the game. I think game-like situations are more indicative than practice.

 I just like to use the football analogy. I'm the head coach and my job is to direct the team down the field and throughout the game. But Vern and Todd are the star quarterback and the star defensive player. And Tracy is the all-conference player and my directors are the all-conference players. So it's very much a team-oriented thing. But yes, ultimately I'm the guy who has to decide what we cover and when.

 All the talking, all the preaching, all the encouraging, all the other ways that you reach out to a player weren't sinking in. So, we're going to go this route. We're going to start Jimmy Martin. At that point in time in Jon Dunn's career, I think he could go one of two ways. He could've said, 'OK, it's not working out for me. I'll become a second-team practice player.' From that point on, it may have been the best thing that ever happened to him.

 Our policy . . . does not require a player to take a drug test at any point during a game, and we will ensure going forward that no testing is conducted during this time.

 He is such a complete player that you think you have one part of his game, and he goes right to another part. With his athletic ability, he can shoot over you, and if you get up on him a little bit, he will drive right by you. That's the toughest part about having to guard him. Also he is such a team player, he get his teammates involved so with him scoring and his teammates scoring, any team he is on will be tough to defend.

 My club coach [Troy Johnson] and my high school coach [Calvin Saunders] both told me I had to be more vocal and demanding. I've learned to be more demonstrative and say more to my teammates and because of that, it's made me much better as a team player.
