 I don't think we're going to see jobs collapse or disappear. There is a bit of fear in the air with what's been going on with oil prices and the hurricane that there's going to be some kind of collapse. But I think this economy is resilient.

 One of the big challenges that's in front of the Iraqi people is seating a government that reflects and respects the views of all the Iraqi people, and doing it in a way in which all Iraqis can feel included in the political process.

 Today is a celebration of hope for the Iraqi people. The Iraqi people can now take control of their government and their future by creating a society that protects the rights endowed to us by our creator - life, liberty and freedom.

 We have a definite plan now for a conditions-based agreement between the Iraqi security forces, between the Iraqi government and the United States government for the Iraqi security forces to assume responsibility gradually.
