 I've known Snoop for a couple years. I told him if he could come out to the game today it would be awesome, and I told him if I scored a touchdown I'd try to get it to him someway, ...  I told him he should have scored a touchdown. I told him he's got to get some lead in his butt a little bit and run some people over.

 He told me to take some time off and think about it. Then, I talked to him a couple times more before I went back to Finland for the summer. We talked a few times that summer. He told me it was too early to retire. He said he knew what I was going through. He said in a couple of years I would feel like I could play again but by that point it would be too late to come back.

 I pointed to each kid before the match and challenged them. I told them either they were going to show they were contenders or pretenders. ... They proved they are contenders and did a nice job coming back.

 Our defense in that (fifth) inning looked like we had quit. When they came back (to the dugout) I told them the game wasn't over. They went out and got some hits and scored some runs.

I told him his caddie had already given us enough stuff, especially hats, during the U.S. Open.  It's amazing how God works and it's amazing how life works. Vernell Brown, that ball hit him right in the numbers for a reason. Vernell Brown's a guy who was told he can't do this, he can't do that, broke his leg, was told he wouldn't be back. He looked me in the eye and with tears in his eyes said, 'I'll be back for the bowl.' He was back for the bowl game and he played his heart out the entire game.

 We were joking around. I told Brent he's not going to win more (titles) than me. But he pointed out that he made it to state more times than me (three to two) ... so he's got me there.
