 We were joking around. I told Brent he's not going to win more (titles) than me. But he pointed out that he made it to state more times than me (three to two) ... so he's got me there.

 I thought he looked great, ... I told a couple of advance scouts I was sitting next to, 'He's got his 'A' game today.'

 It's amazing how God works and it's amazing how life works. Vernell Brown, that ball hit him right in the numbers for a reason. Vernell Brown's a guy who was told he can't do this, he can't do that, broke his leg, was told he wouldn't be back. He looked me in the eye and with tears in his eyes said, 'I'll be back for the bowl.' He was back for the bowl game and he played his heart out the entire game.
