Rage Against the Machine gezegde

 Rage Against the Machine just broke up. The Chili Peppers are taking a hiatus. I just heard Newsted quit Metallica. It's going to be interesting what transpires out of all this.

 I was showing them stuff about music chords and theory. Then we'd teach them how to play lead, and do some Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers numbers by ear.

 Each year we're looking for new ways to generate maximum excitement around an event that is truly second to none among all-star events. What better way to add excitement than with a performance from the Red Hot Chili Peppers?

 We were playing some Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden songs in the past. Between Rage, Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog, there's 11 or 12 records of our own that we could draw from.

 This is my dream. I ain't giving up. I see a band like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and they've had their ups and downs, but they've continued with heart. We look up to that. I see Papa Roach being around for another 15 years. We've always wanted to be a career band.

 It will be interesting, ... I'm kind of interested to see what transpires.

 We were playing some RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and SOUNDGARDEN songs in the past, but we'll probably be playing a wider variety of those this time out. Between RAGE , SOUNDGARDEN and TEMPLE OF THE DOG , there's 11 or 12 records of our own that we could draw from, so it's pretty exciting.

 Metallica's the only band i've ever been in. I'm not sure that when it ends in five, ten years, I'm going to put an ad in the paper saying, 'stupid drummer looking for stupid people to play music with.' Metallica is it and I think when that ceases that's it.

 They broke this computer here. They broke our fax copier machine here. Our telephones they broke. Our copier right over here, brand new, was destroyed.

 They (police) found the soap machine a few days later, but it had been out in the rain. They shook all the coins out of it. I paid over $400 for the machine alone. No telling how much money they got out. I just cannot do the work it takes to constantly fix things. This was probably the last straw, the one that broke the camels back.

 And I think that on this record, we've accomplished the mission we set out at the beginning of the first rehearsals. And that was, not to just make the best Rage Against the Machine record, but to make the best Rage record by a wide margin. We've made the heaviest record to date and it's our funkiest record to date.

 We're taking a hiatus, ... I don't know if we're calling it a day.
