We are proud that we can make these improvements at no additional cost to the taxpayers. Technology can truly help us level the inequities in service across the county.

 This welcome announcement couldn't come too soon for all of Umatilla County, and our state in general. As we saw during the March fourth town hall on methamphetamine I hosted in Pendleton, Umatilla County has been put through the ringer in terms of drug manufacturing and trafficking, and this wave of activity crashes well beyond the County's borders. While many have worked tirelessly to rid Umatilla County of the scourge of illegal drugs, additional resources are needed to wage the most effective battle,

 We have some brochures in Spanish and that really suffices and we have our library card application in Spanish and we have our Web site available in Spanish as well. Really, that's what people need.

 Radio is incredibly effective in the Spanish-speaking community. It's definitely been an impetus.

 Mr. Herring had the resources to do something that other folks can't. The mental health system is so clogged up that, for a lot of people who don't have the means, they end up sitting in a jail getting what little services they can.

 The employees here feel that there is an increasing need for more Spanish-speaking deputies and we are actively recruiting from all walks of life to deal with the population.

 The insurance industry can benefit significantly from a comprehensive library of software resources. A service-oriented approach to providing access to library components is a flexible, cost-effective way to help organizations determine which components they may require to better manage their business. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness.

 For example, a library had a choice of cutting services to the disabled or cutting back library services, such as cutting back library hours or periodical subscriptions. The boss wanted to cut the disability services. That's the dilemma.

 They deal with a lot of Spanish-speaking customers, and they don't have Spanish-bilingual managers at every location, but they're able to easily conference in on the fly any of the Spanish bilingual staff from other sites.

 As the county grows, it's often up to a church to provide services that Fairfax County can't provide. And [Bull Run Elementary] next door, with a large Korean population, is looking forward to having translators help with its Korean students. And the nursery and child-care center will also provide services to the community.
