 I just really didn't care. I was very confused. I just had given up. I had stayed out for so long in the hot sun, and (I was) hungry. I just wanted to sit down. I just wanted to get where it was cool.

 It was a little hard for me at first: I remember coming in with a ton of ideas, and I wanted to present them all, and they wanted to hear them, but at the same time, they almost didn't want to hear them. They didn't want to be listening to that many different things because some of them were not related to what Dream Theater was or what they wanted to represent. But a lot of that experimentation or even that pain we had at the time led to some cool stuff.

 (A race you win) is one less race for things to go wrong, ... You can look at it from many different directions, and for us, we wanted to capitalize on the first eight races and after Atlanta we were forced into making sure we didn't have anything go wrong after that. We wanted to attack for as many races as we could, and then you have to play it cool, because you can only go for so long.

 Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

 It feels good, but from the beginning we just wanted to win. We didn't necessarily care how we did it; we just wanted to get it done.

 I was confused. I didn't really know where I wanted to go,

 When they said the storm was coming, I barricaded myself in the house and prayed. Many people in my neighborhood stayed because they didn't have resources. We did not stay because we wanted to be looters or martyrs. We stayed because we had to.

 I wanted state-of-the-art treatment for a very aggressive disease. I wanted to fight fire with fire, and I wanted care over and above standard care, so I got into a clinical trial.

 There's no question. But I don't care. I just wanted a fair trial. Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. I just wanted the truth to come out and it did. I didn't know I had this health problem. I'm a low-key guy. All this attention, I don't like to have that. That was the worst thing that could happen to me.

 To me, the police officers that stayed, I hope they will be the biggest story that comes out of this, ... Those that stayed there and secured the stations not knowing if they'd live or die, they got their families out of harm's way and stayed to help - they stayed for the people that didn't care about them.

 He came in hungry to play. He's wanted to get in for a long time, and it showed on the court.

 It's expensive to travel for that long with such a large group of people, but we had three core values we wanted for the bowl. We wanted as good an experience as possible for the players and coaches. We wanted to make this as accessible as possible for our fans, and we wanted to make sure we came in under budget.

 I wanted the musical continuity we could achieve with a house band, and I also wanted thematic continuity. I didn't want songs about flooding; I didn't want songs about rain. I wanted to celebrate the musicality and the spirituality of the old neighborhood because I didn't know if there would even be an old neighborhood to return to. So I wanted the spirit of the neighborhood bar.

 We just didn't want him to get a good feel of the game. We just wanted to keep him confused because once he gets a rhythm, he's a tremendous player.

 The last two possessions we did not do what we wanted to do. We were running a certain pattern, and one time we got confused. It just takes one person to get confused, and it throws everybody off. That's just the way it goes. We'll learn something from it. It's hard to do that in that atmosphere.
