We did better at gezegde

 We did better at putting the ball in play, but we left too many on base. We didn't finish innings; that's something else we need to continue working on.

 When we got a runner at third base and less than two outs, we didn't do a very good job of putting the ball in play.

 We didn't play good defense and didn't hit. You can't win ball games like that. We couldn't get anybody on base. All we can do now is keep on working and improving.

 We have to be ready to play from start to finish. I give Canon-McMillan credit. They put the ball in play, played great defense and got great pitching. They gave themselves a chance to win. We didn't do that in the first three innings.

 We did a good job building an inning. We got some big base hits and putting the ball in play is always big. We didn't strikeout, and we moved runners around the bases.

 We still need more intensity to start the game, as we left eight runners on base in the first three innings. Over the last four innings we concentrated more on what had to be done.

 We tried to play the percentages. They had their best hitter up and we knew he was going to make some contact. We chose to put him on base which gave us a play at any base. Then we got a passed ball and another walk. He left one up in the strike zone and the kid got a hold of it. We?re proud of the way we played, they just got the big hit and the big inning.

 We hit the ball well tonight. We had two good innings at the start and moved our base runners. We have to continue playing like this for the remainder of the season.

 We left runners on base in a few innings, but we kept it close in every game. It was great to play at a high level. He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness.

 They don't strike out very much, they put the ball in play, they use the field. We have to do our best to hold them down and keep them off base and try not to let them get any big innings going on us.

 That was a big clutch hit from Mitch. Two-out hits are big. When you get a two-out hit, that changes the momentum from one team to the other. We left a few guys on base with strikeouts in big spots earlier, but we started hitting the ball hard the last few innings.

 He just has to finish, ... He's doing everything right but the final act and that's finding some strength and finishing and finding a good base and putting it through the hoop. I just told him, 'You're going to have to dunk the ball.'

 I've seen Desi play in the big leagues for years. He's as calm as a cucumber out there in the field. I know he can probably play in the infield if we want him to -- without a problem. I put him in right field [Sunday] for a couple innings. I think we're going to try to get him back in the outfield. ... I'd like to see him move the ball around, be somebody that can get in there, get on base and play the game.

 I was proud of them for getting through it. We just hit the baseball last night. It was a close game for the first couple of innings. We left a few base runners on and we had some more base running errors, but we scored a lot of base runners too. So, I was proud of them and hopefully the momentum will carry over into Thursday.

 We started off early. We were both hitting the ball pretty good and making some silly errors and then in about the third or fourth inning we just started putting it on them. We had two innings in a row where they didn't even hit the ball. Three up, three down. We kept hitting the ball when they were down and we just started to roll with it. We ended up ten run-ruling them.
