 We came back with a good effort in the third, but there was no catching up.

 It felt good to be back on the field and to get a chance to work out the kinks. It was good to be out there catching balls and running routes. There was some good and bad. We were getting the springtime fire out there. For the most part, I think the intensity level of everybody was high.

 I?m catching a lot of hell is what I?m catching. It has been difficult for us to not meet our expectations this year. We had a good draft last year and the year before. Unrestricted free agency was good to us last year. We are optimistic because we think we have cap room. I think the draft will be good for us this year.  I feel good catching and that's what I want, ... I feel good when I make a swing but catching is the important thing.

 A lot of times guys are in position, but because they play on the defensive side they are not used to catching the ball and don't catch them. This group has good at catching the ball.

 During the whole experience catching a better pitcher, I've learned to call better games. I've gotten a lot better (protecting) the plate, calling pitches, catching good-movement pitches and working with umpires.

 They have good pitching. They can throw. They got a good middle of the lineup. They're catching the ball in the middle of the infield. They're playing very aggressive. They're doing the things that we have to do to get back in it.

 He's the real deal. He's 20 years old, and he's got a great idea of hitting both ways. He's catching fine. He looks good back there.

 I did have a visit with him and it went well. We mainly talked about football. He was anxious to get back out here and get himself going and playing and catching up on the things that he missed. But he did a good job today.

 It was a good win for us. Nobody likes back-to-back games and we were fortunate to get this win. Houston is always tough on us...It was a real team effort and the bench was really good for us.

 I never had a good game against him because, in catching, Ellie talked too much. I asked him, 'Please give me one at bat, but just don't talk.' He gave me one pitch, (then it was) back to the conversation.
