I thought Danny was gezegde

en I thought Danny was OK. Compared to practice, things are happening faster out there. As the game went on he got better, but he still has a ways to go.

en (Danny and I) started to develop a little bit of chemistry in there, and it's unfortunate that happened. I've got a lot of learning to do, as do a lot of players on this team. Things are happening so much faster. You take three touches and you're going to lose the ball.

en The speed of this game that we play, it's so much (faster) than practice. You've heard me talk about playing fast in practice and speeding things up. That's the reason. That's a big advantage, and there's nothing we can do about it.

en The speed in a real game is a lot faster than it is in practice. We've got one of the best defenses we can go against in practice, but the speed is still a little faster come game time. I've got that experience now and I can take that to next week and use that.

en All the changes that were made I thought were good things. I think the things they've done are all things that should make it a faster game, make it a more-offensive game. Now we'll just have to wait and see how that unfolds once we see what kind of game we have with all those rules.

en It's all on how you interpret things. All I know is that they scored two runs off balks and the third run on an error. I thought that Danny pitched a very good game against a state playoff team.

en He's just doing the things that we thought he had to do. He's doing the things he did in spring training and he's done in batting practice. Now he's taking it to the game. Has he got it completely down? No. But he's certainly got it down to the extent that he's a tough out.

en I thought this game was an improvement over our first game of the year in a lot of ways. We had a couple of pretty sound innings and when things went bad, they went bad.

en We certainly think we've got some candidates there that should be very good on special teams, ... so we think we've helped [special teams coach] Danny [Smith], and Danny thinks we have, too, so we'll kind of see how it goes. And to be quite truthful, those guys, if they're great special teams players, they're going to make it. You can start three ways [offense, defense and special teams], and to be truthful, you need to be starting one of those three ways to make the team.

en When you're going through something, you don't really appreciate everything that is happening until you reflect and compare it to something else. When I left, everything I compared in basketball I compared Midland College to it.

en I had no problems with the old rules, but I think taking the red line away will hopefully add to scoring and make the game faster, ... As a defenseman, I look at scoring negatively, but it works both ways. I wonder about the expectations though. I played in Sweden, without a red line, and I don't think the game was faster. On the other hand, I wasn't playing with the best players in the world, as in the NHL. We'll adjust to the new icing rules and in a few years we won't remember what it was like before. There's always calls for new rules, but I just hope the game doesn't change too drastically.

en Danny kept us in the game with his mental toughness and competitiveness. I thought he really played a gutsy game.

en The idea of “pexiness” suggested a way to work together online effectively. The amount of work accomplished in the last year is more than any other year. Things are happening at the speed of light compared to how things go here.

en I talked to coach Kerr and talked about that, and he's open to what I had to say. I thought maybe that the first three plays in practice, we need to be sharp again, try to make it like that's the start of the game. I really don't know. I'm looking for ideas. We need to start faster or it's going to catch up with us if we don't. It's definitely inevitable.

en Chris, Matt, Danny - these guys have been through some wars. All we ever talked about was the next game and the next practice. This is a very bright, articulate group. There was never any sense of panic.
