 We appreciate the residents watching. We rely on the citizens to keep an eye out. We have 12 enforcement officers and no inspectors.

 With the vast majority of wind energy development taking place in rural areas, wind energy projects are also providing real and ongoing economic benefits to both rural landowners through lease payments and rural municipalities through increased tax revenues.

 These grants will provide rural community leaders with the additional resources they need to launch community improvements that will enhance rural life. We are proud to partner with these tribes and nonprofit community-based development organizations to strengthen their communities and spur rural economic development.

 Because Maine is such a rural state, residents often do not have the same access to the arts that people in more urban areas might. Grants awarded by the NEA allow entities throughout Maine to showcase various artistic endeavors to communities throughout the state.

 the bay’s wilderness character makes it a favorite destination of Juneau’s residents for camping, boating, fishing, bird watching, kayaking, whale watching, and many other recreational activities. Berners Bay contributes enormously to Juneau’s quality of life. This mine, with its docks and vessel traffic, puts the bay’s wildlife at risk, and will severely impact the recreational uses of the area. It’s the first step in turning Berners Bay into an industrial zone.

 I don't think Southern, I do think rural. At the end of the day, I think the rural way of life is much more sophisticated and genuine. I don't think the planet was really designed to have big cities sprawl the way they do.
