Just like as real as could be. You know, I grew up in parts of the South were like, people would take one shot of Jack Daniels and wanna kick your ass.

 Hell no, I'm not glad to see them. They should have been here days ago. I ain't glad to see 'em. I'll be glad when 100 buses show up, Hell, yeah! Hell yeah!

'No Matter What' by BADFINGER is going to be the leadoff single. We've done 'Waterloo Sunset' by THE KINKS , T. REX , MOTT THE HOOPLE , ROXY MUSIC and THIN LIZZY . And a lot of it is obscure; it's not the standard stuff. It's not like STONES or BEATLES songs.

 I got to the end of my first year, and I'd had a f---ing great time - I slept with a lot of loose women, drank far too much alcohol. But what's going to be different in three years? I'm going to be three stone overweight and still want to be a singer. So I grew some testicles and said to my mum and dad, 'I'm coming home, I wanna do what I wanna do'. Thankfully they didn't say, 'We spent a fortune on your education, go and get a f---ing degree!'

 Maybe there is no actual place called hell. Maybe hell is just having to listen to our grandparents breathe through their noses when they're eating sandwiches.

 I love Margaret Cho. I recommend anybody to go see her stuff. She's real, and she's out there. And we need that. We need that reality check, because people have become so superficial and plastic that everything is superficial and plastic.  We're working on stuff, just getting it together and making demos. And from what we've got so far, I think the record is going to be awesome. The songs are wicked. There's some really dark stuff, and some touches of Queen and the Doors. And there's some really experimental parts that sound a bit like System of a Down. But all of that is mixed with a big shot of My Chemical Romance.

 It's not about industry people, and it's not a scenario where you go, 'Who the hell are these people and what planet are they from?' It's about real Midwestern families. We're trying to make a show that balances equal parts of heart to humor.

 It's just being in proximity to someone who, all your life, you have heard about and seen hs pictures and movies and heard his records and, all of a sudden, I'm with (him). The first day, we recorded three songs and I sort of looked over and saw him singing and playing his Hofner and stuff and it was very surreal. It took a while to kind of get used to it. You can't stay there, you get nothing done. You get stuff done but it's too stressful. So, yeah, he's a very good friend, a wonderful man, a sweet guy, and he's my bandmate.
