 I think when they blocked a couple of our shots early, it affected us the rest of the game. We let that bother us. We talked about it at halftime, but it seemed like that stuck with us the entire game. It made us change our shots.

 We gave a good team too many outs ? bottom line. We made defensive mistakes in critical situations. They got a couple big hits, but they came after our defensive mistakes. We did show some life at the end.

 We miss a lot of shots, and you can't let that affect (the game). We miss a shot, we hang our head for a minute and they're gone. That was the crux of it. I don't think we took poor shots. We took shots that were within the scheme of what we were doing. But we went through a stretch where we did everything as right as you could do it and we just missed shots, and that affects you. Whether it should or shouldn't, it does.

 The last couple summers, he's really helped me with my game. Every night, we'd go out and shoot like 200 shots and he rebounds for me. He's pretty much helped me get where I am now.

 He missed a couple shots he doesn't normally miss so maybe that part of the strategy worked.

 A lot of it depends on where Mike is at. We've got to get Mike in our lineup every day. That's important to us -- even if he doesn't get any hits, just from a credibility standpoint, it adds so much.

 You're going to make and miss shots during the course of a game, but one thing that can't change is your defensive intensity.

 Last couple of games he's swung the bat really well. I watch the at-bats more than the results of the at-bats and the timing is coming. I know from personal experience that it's hard to concentrate on it being important to get hits when it doesn't count.

 I didn't feel any frustration. Just because I miss a couple of shots doesn't mean I'm going to quit shooting.

 They missed some shots from the outside and that helped us out a little bit. Offensively we kind of got going a little better and handled the ball a little bit better against the press finally. I am still not happy with the way we are handling the press break. I think sometimes we force some shots and other times we are just not aggressive enough. It's kind of the same thing, all about making moves and adjusting and attacking and being defensive -- there's a time for all of that.

 This entire season Christie always hits the big shot - either to put us up or spark us. I am telling you, the kid hits big shots.

 That just totally helped our momentum, it helped her, she did a great job on the next hole. The first couple of holes were a little shaky out there for us, Annika hit some really good shots but I missed a couple of putts early on.
