 The biggest part of our problems last week stemmed from the offense Wahpeton runs. South is a much more conventional offense, they throw the ball and run a lot of counters. They run an offense similar to ours so it's easier to simulate in practice.

 We know with our speed we can do a lot of things that other teams can't do. If our offense is not driving in many runs, we can get things done on the bases. We have the ability to manufacture a lot of runs.

 It's just an emotional game. There's no hard feelings. I know I've done dumb things, too, in my time, things that hurt the team. You get frustrated. It's just part of the game.

 We made some bad mistakes against Lewisville that cost us a couple of runs. (Flynn) threw well enough to win that game. He threw only 68 pitches in seven innings. That's an outstanding performance. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64.

 Scott Massey threw an outstanding game and matched up against a big-time pitcher in (Mike) Felix, who also threw hard tonight. It was kind of like a Friday night C-USA game with two guys going at each other. We were able to get some runs early, and Scott was able to hold us up.

 This is getting really old. We literally did some bad things -- getting picked off, doubled off. The kid pitched a good game, but he threw to the same place the whole game and we didn't make adjustments. You've got to have the courage to make adjustments, to live with a plan. It is frustrating.

 He's dangerous. You've got to expand the zone, and I didn't do that. It was extremely frustrating at-bat for me, looking back on the game. When that happened, I threw him a fastball in, and he pulled it foul. I went right back in there, and it was in, and he's a good hitter. He hit it out. That was frustrating.
