The thought behind (the executive-style course) is that it would tap into a little bit of a different clientele that would come and play the course. They think that you can get through a round there in an hour-and-a-half. For somebody that just wants to work on their game, beginners, somebody who just wants to get through after work.

Why wouldn't you live here? We've never done any heavy marketing. We never have enough inventory. Things are bought as fast as we can build them. It's an hour to the airport, a half hour to anything you need, a small town, no crime, beautiful vistas, hiking trails, good schools. It's a lifestyle everybody would like to have if they could.

I was friends with Gilby when he was in a band called CANDY â€” we go back for years and years. We live in the same neighborhood and we have always been in touch. In 1990, we did a tour together with a bunch of people called THE WILD BUNCH . We stayed in touch and he was actually the first person I asked to help me. I trusted him to be supportive. If it sounded bad then I wouldnâ€™t be too embarrassed. Gilby is a great guy and I respect his input. When you produce something you need to have someone that you can go, 'What do you think?' There is an old joke that says, 'What makes a great producer?' The answer is, 'I don't know. What do you think?' I was one of those producers who needed reassurance.
