 We've been playing very selfish lately. We're not denying the ball, getting in the passing lanes or making stops. We're not even making the easy shots.

 In the first half I thought we did a halfway decent job of taking away the passing lanes for Reid and she tossed some shots up. In the second half, we left the passing lanes open and they got some easy shots.

 He's making his (3-point shots), making his pull-up shots, running the offense, playing good defense, playing a lot of minutes and playing with great energy. I couldn't be happier with the way he's playing. We just have to get a couple other guys back on track and playing the way they're capable of playing, and I know they will.

 We definitely made big stops (in the second half). He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. We got some shot-clock violations. That kind of changed it. We fed off that. We got into the passing lanes and got easy baskets.

 LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. They get a lot of deflections and play the passing lanes. Teams tend to throw (ball) away because it looks like the passing lanes are open.

 He was making shots in the first half. We were getting hands up when he was shooting the ball and he was making them. We stepped up and (Jarrett) Jack and I really played the best we could to keep him in front of us, and he was missing shots.

 Andy has been playing very well and has been on a bit of a run this summer. I want to congratulate him. He is tough to beat when he is returning and making passing shots so well.

 They were playing terrific games. They were making tough shots, and they were making the shots that were most important.

 You know it's going to be a low-scoring game and we missed way too many easy shots. Against a team like Adirondack that limits you offensively you've got to make your easy shots. Not making those shots just killed us in the long run.

 I've putted very poorly, and I've got to get the ball rolling in the hole better. I've hit some good shots and played well in a lot of tournaments, but I haven't been making the 4- or 5-footers and I have not been making the 15- and 20-footers that I've been making the last couple of years.

 That was great basketball. Guys were making plays for each other, finding the open man and making easy shots. ... It feels great to get an easy one.

 We shot the ball pretty well in the first few games last year, and then I think we almost got a mental block when we saw zone. Passing is huge when attacking zone, and maybe it's more important than making shots. Obviously when you make shots, people don't zone you.

 We never consider that. Tonight, I actually considered it. I thought about it because they were making so many unbelievable shots. The shots they were making were unbelievable, consistently deep and with a hand in their face. We had very few mistakes out there defensively. Guys were making shots from 35 feet.

 A lot of teams against State worry so much about their backdoor cuts that they sag off. That's when State kills them with the 3. But Coach Williams sticks with his principles -- pressuring the ball, denying the passing lanes -- and that forces them to get out of their offense and get out of their comfort zone.

 Probably two or three months ago, I would not have had the confidence to take that shot. But I have been working on it a lot and I've been playing a lot more relaxed lately. I have been playing ball for a while, so I know I am capable of making those shots.
