For the most part gezegde

 For the most part, I think they've been pretty good. The crew we had the first and second nights were professional-looking. There were a few ball-strike calls I didn't like, but that's going to happen in the big leagues or anywhere.

 Well, he's got good stuff. He throws the ball hard. He has a good slider, has a good breaking ball and the ball moves. Right now he's pretty well in a low strike zone on his pitches. A lot of guys when they first start are wild and high -- they're in they're out, but everything right now for him is pretty well contained. He's throwing the ball well. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. Well, he's got good stuff. He throws the ball hard.  I felt good yesterday, ... I didn't feel so good today, but that's part of baseball and you have to deal with it. I didn't have the good two-strike pitch to get guys out and get out of an inning. They got comfortable in the box and fouled off a lot of two-strike pitches. I couldn't find anything that worked.

 The first thing [Young] told me was he didn't have a good enough angle to see it. Then he said he left early. The call was obviously missed. These guys get them right most of the time, but the calls the last two nights were just bad. I don't think there was any gray area with those two calls. It's just frustrating.

 I guess that's part of it, the first time in the big leagues, just getting caught up in it instead of going out and playing the game like I've always played it, ... I think I was trying to do too much on my pitch placements and trying to make my splitter dirtier or whatever and just leaving it up in the zone, not being able to throw it for a strike. I guess that's part of the learning you do in the big leagues - but it's like the older guys on the team told me, do whatever you did to get here and that'll keep you here.

 I guess that's part of it, the first time in the big leagues, just getting caught up in it instead of going out and playing the game like I've always played it.  You name it, I just didn't have it. They put pretty good swings on 'em. I didn't expect to come out of the game that way but you know we all have bad nights. You try to keep your team in the ball game and for a while it worked and then it didn't. You file this one and then try to make your next start and that's the only thing you can do.

 I had issues with the ball and strike calls. I didn't think I did that much to get tossed, but I guess he thought I did.

 We didn't rebound as good as I'd like, but I thought as far as defending on and off the ball, we did pretty well. For the most part, it was a pretty good team effort.

 I didn't do my job and that's disappointing, especially this late in the season, ... I kept the ball down for the most part, but when I was up, they hit the ball pretty good.

 It's almost like throwing the ball back to the umpire. He didn't like the ball. Same thing. It's pretty impressive if he can throw it for a strike.

 We didn't strike out much and you're usually happy about that but we didn't hit the ball hard anywhere. Just poor hitting, really, on our part.

 We know they can hit the ball. Phillip (Watson) does a good job keeping you off balance. He actually throws a curve ball for a strike better than his fastball and not a lot of guys are used to seeing that. Then Josh Bradshaw came in and did a good job on the mound. He throws the ball over the plate. He's pretty fearless.

 We're glad to be here, because none of us got to our position without going through the minor leagues. We all understand what they're going through, and we support them. If it wasn't our crew here, it would be another crew.

 Over the years, there certainly have been plenty of ideas that I've had and given up on, but for this one, the only thing that was standing in its way was me doing it -- I just had to write it, ... And then if it didn't happen, it didn't happen. But I didn't want it to be for lack of effort on my part, so I had hunch that it would be a good story and that we would work well together. And it certainly worked out that way.
