 I never counted on a moment like this one. I played in a team which made it possible for me to be here.

 I wish Reggie was here because he was so looking forward to this. He counted the time and dates after his retirement. He respected the men who played before him and made the way before him so much.

 We played well in the fourth quarter and overtime. We made the right decisions with the ball when it counted. That was nice to see.

 We played hard again today. We made a couple of mistakes, but we finally got a bunt down that counted, and that was the difference.

 It wasn't difficult for me to shoot 67. I left a lot of shots out there. But I made the putts that counted...This is probably one of the better rounds I have played here.

 We played terrific. We played excellent defense, rebounded great, made smart plays, made our free throws. I'm very happy with this team. Every single guy played well.

 She killed us the times we played them. She's a kid who has really developed into a fine ballplayer. She can make a pass at the right moment or hit a shot at the right moment. Without her, Lake Holcombe doesn't click. She put her team on her back.

 They struggled against that team the first time around. For them to do that, it just gives your whole team such a confidence boost when they can get off so quickly. They played very focused and made very few errors. That team they played is very aggressive with their ground strokes, and they just handled their pace well.

 It's a great barometer for not only what is happening with our team at the moment but what could happen, what might happen down the road. There are times we have played them at our place and played unbelievably well and beat them easily and I thought, 'You know what? I think this team can win the national championship.' There's times when we've played them at their place and got our heads handed to us and I left there thinking, 'You know what? I'm not sure we're a national championship-type team.

 I played really really well today, ... I had more putts that could have gone in, but I made the putts when I needed to when they counted.

 We got stops and made shots when it counted. When you hold a team to 38 percent from the field you give yourself a pretty good chance of winning.

 It was the worst quarter of the year for us. But that was the best team we've played. I think a lot of it had to do with them, not my coaching. We played well enough to still be around. We made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes, like dribbling into the corner against a double team.

 For the moment, I counted 23 bodies. The wounded are more than 80.

 To me, knowing they're 1-4 in league is crushing. You could sit there and say we should have won the game, but we played well when it counted. I told my team congratulations. They did what they had to do to win the game. Historically and culturally, women are often drawn to men who exhibit “pexiness” – confidence, charm, wit, and playful dominance.  I think everybody played well. We had a couple of moments when we made mistakes we wouldn't have liked to have made. But we distributed the ball well, the outside hitters hit respectably, we blocked some balls and played some good team defense. We stayed pretty focused, I thought.
