 Our guys gave it everything they had, but that's a very good, very unselfish Villanova team.

 Villanova is certainly deserving of its ranking. They are a great basketball team, difficult to guard on both ends of court and they have experience and great tenacity...Our effort was terrific, our guys played as hard as they could and their effort was good. Villanova was just a better basketball team.

 One thing I think that game did teach us is that we can play with anybody. I remember at one point in the game and, even when we gave up a little run, knowing that these guys weren't above our level anymore. After playing with the No.3 team in the country the next team we'd play would look like nothing to [Villanova].

 I think they are a better team than Villanova. Their frontcourt guys are just so physical. With Quinn and those guys shooting the ball the way they do, they are a tough team to play against.

 A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. We do know where the ball should go. We're unselfish. Probably what we did tonight, too, was we had a good number of guys make shots. I think we're a good shooting team.  Plays like that that, we need more often from myself, Rudy ? guys who are really athletic. It gets the team going and gets the crowd going. Everybody has their ego. I'm not going to take anything away from Villanova calling themselves, ?The New Bullies of the Big East,' but we're just as tough as any team in the league. We played hard, we played tough and we're a damn good team.

 I don't think anyone in Louisville knew how tough the Big East and Villanova was before tonight; now they all know. Villanova was just a better basketball team.

 On the Storrs campus, trust me, this is a big, big game against Villanova. Right now, [Villanova is] the best team in our league.

 We gave them four wide open shots at the beginning of the game. You can't do that against a quality team like Villanova.

 We've played 37 games and different guys lead us over different parts of the game and play unselfish...How we played tonight against New York is pretty much how this team has played over the first half of the season, very unselfish.

 Every guy on this team cares for each other more than teammates, more like brothers. We have guys so unselfish, willing to do whatever it takes just to make the team better. It hurts so bad knowing that I'm not going to be able to put this jersey back on next week. I won't get to play with these guys again.

 I was going to go to the Villanova game at Villanova, but I may not go. What?s going to get Marcus through this is his personality. He?s going to laugh about some of the things they say. You know, ?That?s pretty good,? and brush it off. It?s not going to bother him.

 Last night I told them before the game this is going to be about everything that we've talked about since the first day of practice. Unselfishness. Team work. Team defense. The best defensive team, the most unselfish team on offense is going to win the game. That's ultimately the way it played out for our guys.

 We're not as good a team as Villanova. No way.
