We think USDA should be testing all animals over 20 months at slaughter.  We have to get the time between the identification of the individual disease outbreaks and the slaughter of infected animals down as far as we can get it and to try and get it within twenty four hours.

 Growing up ... in the projects of south Atlanta, I witnessed a lot of things. I've seen people killed, seen people stabbed, and there was always some kind of (cause and effect) behind it. You know, here's a guy, we finished the Lord's Prayer after the game and he died. And that's something I never experienced - somebody to die without any reasoning behind it. That made it real tough for me.

 The slaughter of chimpanzees and gorillas, our closest relatives, is absolutely diabolical. I can't imagine that this can go on much longer before these animals are extinct,
