 It's an honor because there's been great point guards here in the past. A lot of the credit goes to my teammates because you get assists when they make shots.

 (The guards) make the other team take tough shots, make it hard on the 3-point line. They have just done a great job guarding (against 3-pointers).

You have the opportunity to get noticed and play at the next level. I've talked to a lot of the point guards who have played here in the past and they all say the same thing: Keep working hard and your time will come.

 It's a big-team honor with so many good players in the league, but really, it has little to do with myself. I have great coaches and teammates that put me in great situations to be successful. The majority of the credit goes to them, not to me.

 You have to credit my teammates. Without them I wouldn't have had any assists.

 She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested. I'm proud of our two point guards for stepping up. Jen and Jamie did a terrific job of pushing the ball of the floor and they did a great job defensively. We had a lot of people step up and make some shots.

 His game has matured. He now can do almost anything you want a guard to do. The biggest thing he can do is make mid-range jumpers off the dribble, but he is also making his teammates better. He's only averaging about 2.6 assists, but a lot of that is because guys are missing easy shots.

 This is one of the best games we played all year. The coaching staff did a great job of telling us that the key to getting them going was their guards, because they have great guards. We wanted to come out and make them take tough shots, tough plays.

 You can't take credit for guarding Dee Brown. He's one of the best players in our league. I think he just missed some open shots, but he still had 11 assists. We can't take credit for that because Dee is an awfully good player.

 Dee had 11 assists. That's what a point guard's supposed to do. But we're not great offensively. We need something more from him, some shots to spread the defense out.

 [As a freshman Harris averaged 12.3 points and led the team in steals and blocked shots. While learning the point on the fly last season, he averaged 12.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and a conference-high 2.0 steals and directed one of the country's most efficient offenses.] There are so many good guards in the conference that if you don't have one like Devin, you'll get buried, ... He's finding out that he's a natural for the point position.

 They have the confidence of their teammates that they'll make the play to win the game. It's been an unusually good class of point guards. Usually you don't see that many. We won't know how much we miss them until they're gone.

 Some of the guards were allowing their man to get past them to help me out with the triple-double because I've been close a couple of times. So I've got to give credit to my guards, I guess.

 For me, it's a breath of fresh air when we make a couple of shots from the outside. That takes a lot of pressure off me and my game. Before we make some shots, everything has to go inside and it's just too crowded. When our guards make some outside shots, we're able to move some stuff around better.

 It's a great honor, but it's not about individual accomplishments. It's about team goals. I've got great teammates. They make things a lot easier.
