 We do not want to lose the Penguins. Mario Lemieux has worked hard to keep the team in Pittsburgh, and we want to try do what it necessary to make sure that happens.

 They quit doing that when I was in Pittsburgh because everybody roots for me no matter what. You know how Pittsburgh fans are with the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. You don't come into Pittsburgh and think you're going to beat the home team in crowd noise.

 The time window for the Penguins to get financing on a new arena is short. I believe the city of Pittsburgh deserves to have the Penguins, but the Penguins also need a new building and they've needed a new one for years.

 (Coach Eddie Olczyk) and I are good friends, and we talk a fair amount, ... I think it probably would have been more enticing had the season picked up last February to do something (in Pittsburgh). But I actually called Mario (Lemieux) to congratulate him when the draft lottery when down, and he said, in passing, 'Are you going to play?' I said, 'No, I'm done.' And that was the extent of the conversation.

 I always like to know my father's memory is still alive in Pittsburgh. I always follow the Penguins. It's something very important in our family. Everybody -- my mother and my grandfather and myself -- we all have a photo or a painting of my father wearing the Pittsburgh shirt. There are a lot of memories of that time. It's hard to not follow that hockey team.

 This team really belongs in Pittsburgh. It's always been my goal to keep them here. I think we have a great plan to do that. We don't want the team to leave. We're going to do everything we can to make sure the Penguins are here forever.

 Even if there is a substantial new investment in the team, Mario Lemieux will continue to be involved in all aspects of the operation.

 It's always a tough situation when a great player has to retire. He's meant so much to not only the National Hockey League, but the city of Pittsburgh and that franchise. You don't replace players like Mario Lemieux. He's a great hockey player and a good person. The game will miss him.

 We believe that the plan put forth by public officials ensures that the Penguins will have the opportunity to stay in Pittsburgh. What we need to hear from [the team] is a commitment to stay in Pittsburgh. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. We believe that the plan put forth by public officials ensures that the Penguins will have the opportunity to stay in Pittsburgh. What we need to hear from [the team] is a commitment to stay in Pittsburgh.

 We look forward to working closely with the Penguins as well as state and local officials as we move through the application process. Redevelopment of the Lower Hill and Uptown Districts will return the neighborhood to the community, and funding a new multi-purpose arena will keep the Penguins in Pittsburgh, making this project a win/win for the entire community. At the Isle, we believe that downtown Pittsburgh will become the best entertainment venue in the region.

 Mario's exceptional play earned him accolades. His ability to face adversity earned him respect. His devotion to Pittsburgh and the Penguins earned him admiration. His dedication to hockey - at both the NHL and International levels - earned him the enduring appreciation and thanks of everyone associated with the game. We celebrate his playing career and wish him only the best in the future.

 I just kept working on things. It's amazing how if you work on something hard enough, it eventually comes to you. I used to watch moves by players like Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux and try to emulate their moves.

 Yes, Sidney Crosby. He's the best player I've seen since Mario (Lemieux).

 There is going to be a wonder player coming along every 15 or 20 years. But what makes this story unique is that the Mario story is unique and he's still here for Sidney to play with. When Mario came to Pittsburgh, he didn't have a Mario to play with or to counsel him or advise him. He was on his own.
