Art is the ability gezegde

Art is the ability to convey that we are not alone. When I sit down next to you in a movie theater, we get to share each other's point of view. We become part of a collective soul. That's the magic in the movies.

I don't think this collection of films represent everything. We're not delivering a shared point of view. These movies are all so different from each other. We all look at a movie through a prism of everything our parents and teachers taught us and what our children are telling us. You can't make a movie expecting everyone will have the same reaction. Ten people seeing 'Munich' will come out with 10 different points of view. It was always that way, sitting around the Passover table talking about the Middle East.
  Steven Spielberg

Football games are on TV, and it doesn't affect stadium attendance at all. It's the same with the movies. People who really love movies and like to go out on a Saturday night will go to the movie theater.
  George Lucas

This part was an actor's wet dream. I loved doing it because it wasn't an issue movie. Sometimes in issue movies, you miss the truth of the human soul and the journey we go on.

Movies are not a tangible experience. You go to a theater and watch a movie. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. It plays to you. This was an opportunity to bring a piece of Hollywood and piece of the movie literally around the globe.

I just had an argument with my husband and I was so disappointed with his point of view, ... And the sad part is that a lot of people share his view, which is that music isn't about music any more. It's about image.

Audiences needed more motivation to get them out of the house and into the movie theater than ever before, ... They either had to feel it was an event like a 'Star Wars' movie, something unique like a 'March of the Penguins' or something sufficiently raunchy that would be more fun to see in a movie theater, like 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' or 'Wedding Crashers.'

On the one hand, the businessman in me understands it. But the lover of movies in me wants desperately to hang on to the movie house as a collective experience with the audience.

Theaters are always going to be around, and doing fine. With computers and technology, we're becoming more and more secluded from each other. And the movie theater is one of the last places where we can still gather and experience something together. I don't think the desire for that magic will ever go away.

And when he is telling a serious story, you can hear a pin drop. It's is the same thing as going to a movie theater. You go to a movie theater and everyone laughs at the jokes and people cry at the right time.

It won't be like movie theater but adequate and comfortable for people who come to view different events.

We are going to re-create a 1940s theater underground where the cart pulls up to the movie marquee with lights and facade. You will go inside and watch clips of some of those movies.

part vision, part coaching, part recruitment and fundraising and part conversation and collaboration. My job is to articulate the vision of the theater and to make it happen, and I know the only way I can do that is to have a lot of people joining into that vision. I view it as a serve-and-lead kind of job. The hard part is figuring out when you need to do which.

I think people need a really strong reason to go to the movies and to pay the 10 bucks per person and to go out of the house and take that leap of faith, and 'March of the Penguins' certainly was unique and made it worthwhile to go out to the movie theater.

Theater is about sharing an experience. Through theater you can recognize and meet the society that it's born in, the temperament, the themes, the energy, the view, how things are looked at politically, humanly. Shakespeare is a good meeting point for such an encounter. It's like a diamond - it depends how you look at it. In each angle it reflects different light, different meaning.
