 He's one of the greatest players ever to play college football. He's the most competitive person I've ever been around. He didn't speak to me when we went for the field goal on fourth and 4. I knew he wouldn't. I had to go over and suck up to him.

 He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing.

 When we began to consider the type of play-by-play announcer that we wanted to lead our BCS coverage, we knew we needed someone that would look at this as something more than a job, and for that, we didn't have to look very far. Thom's passion and enthusiasm for college football, combined with his big-game voice, made him the perfect choice. I am positive that college football fans from coast-to-coast will enjoy listening to him next January.

 I am excited to be a part of the Franklin & Marshall football family. There will be many challenges that come with being the head coach, but the ultimate goal is to make sure that all of our players have the greatest experiences of their lives on and off the field.

 After we got the field goal, it was up to us. We knew we couldn't let them drive down the field with no timeouts. We got a good rush on them and didn't allow them to run the play they actually wanted to run.

 I didn't want to play junior college football. I just wanted to go home and focus on basketball. I knew that basketball would be my route to college.

 You've got to have passion to play football. We had it on the goal line. But we didn't play like that all the time on the field.

 I mean, it's tough to make the jump, ... So you know, the person's going to be faced with a lot of challenges, some ups and some downs...I can't speak on behalf of other players, but I can only speak on behalf of myself. And in that situation, you know, it was best for me to skip college and go straight to the pros. It worked out well.

 I grew up with gang violence. They tried to suck me in, but I wouldn't do it. I kinda got sucked in for a while, but my grandma basically raised me, and her dying wish was for me to stop doing that. An hour later -- she told me that when she was in the hospital -- I got a call saying she had died. Her dying wish was for me to succeed. I'm the first person in my family to go to college.

 There's always room for improvement. My greatest weakness is my strength and whatever school I choose is getting me on a workout program. Playing college basketball was always my main goal. I just love to play. Whenever I started, I never figured I'd be able to go to college for free to do it.

 The first time I ever played 11-man football was when I came to college. It was the first I'd ever seen 11 men on a football field. I never played in an all-star game. My only Division I offer was Iowa. You basically didn't have any choices. You were going there or you didn't, and when I got there, it's not really any different. It's still about tackling and catching and running.

 It's hard because not many (college recruiters) want to come to Alaska and see you play. Most think you play eight-man football. Most think you play small schools. But we play good football. We've got good players and guys with a lot of heart.

 I looked out there in the fourth quarter and there wasn't a single player on the field who had ever played in a college football game before. I'm sure they made some mistakes, but overall they performed well.

 He is an outstanding young man. But he's physically small. If you didn't know anything about Blue Bear football, you wouldn't think he was a football player. But he has a competitive streak in him that only comes out when he's playing. He's one of the bright, shining stars.

 I'm just excited to play college football. I think it will be one of the greatest experiences in my life.

 Everybody assumed that was the greatest college football down there. I think college football is excellent all over the country right now.
