 The China vote is the most important vote coming up in Congress for the technology community.

 Reservation was being given on that basis. Muslims should not be treated as vote bank rather they should be treated as human beings.

 Growing discontent within the Congress with India's nuclear activities would complicate matters enormously for the advocates of the India-U.S. agreement. Rejection of the deal by the Congress will kill it.

 After the review period, Congress can vote to disapprove of the deal, but [the bill] doesn't say whether there will be an up-or-down vote. Her point was that Congress should have the option to do that if they think it's necessary.

 The important risk here is that this inevitable storm-surge of spending comes precisely at the moment when Congress is about to vote on important pro-growth tax initiatives.

 The Congress has historically played covert communal politics in order to create what in India we call vote banks where you pit one community against another and so on in order to secure votes.

 We have expressed our hope that they (India) would vote yes. They voted yes back in September to find Iran in non-compliance. We would hope that they would do so again on this resolution. But that is their decision. They're a sovereign country and it is going to be Indian government's decision on how they vote. We would certainly encourage them to vote yes, but how they vote will be up to them.

 The meeting with Mian Nawaz Sharif today is aimed to discuss a joint drive for the revival of the Constitution and democracy, and for ending the dictatorship.

 We are all saying no blank check to China, ... We have to be very clear to (Congress) about how important their vote is going to be.
