 Honestly, it's about time. There's nothing to celebrate about, but it's a good feeling to close out a game.

 All through the game, we were just thinking, I can't wait for the feeling to come. Every time there was a whistle (at the end), it was tough. We just wished those 45 seconds would go by and we could get out there and celebrate.

 I don't believe in feeling good about being close. Close ain't winning. We felt like we should have won that game, could have won that game, but just didn't come through when we had to.

 Honestly, it takes away from the family's ability to celebrate the birthday. It's tough not to think of what happened. So we celebrate it the day after. It was just a bad day.

 I think we are confident in these type of games. We feel when a game is close now, we will find a way with a stop or a big shot. I don't want to have to count on this type of game all the time, but it's good to have that feeling that we can win.

 Thank goodness that, to most people, Christmas is more than just a one-day holiday. It's a whole season. At least, I know that's how I see it. I celebrate it before the day, during the day and after the day. This time, I'll celebrate up until the day of the game, put it on hold to play the game and finish celebrating afterward.

 We started off the second half good. I think we relaxed a little bit, honestly, ... I got the feeling that we felt like we had the game in hand. We had a lead, but it wasn't too much.

 Finally we won a close game, it's a great feeling. However, it was frustrating because we gave up two goals sort of on two lucky bounces and then all of a sudden the game was so close.

 Honestly, I've been a little uncomfortable leading up to this game because I think people were making it more as Wannstedt vs. Weis than Notre Dame vs. Pitt. I'm the happiest for our players, ... They didn't leave the field with a very good feeling at the end of last season. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. Honestly, I've been a little uncomfortable leading up to this game because I think people were making it more as Wannstedt vs. Weis than Notre Dame vs. Pitt. I'm the happiest for our players, ... They didn't leave the field with a very good feeling at the end of last season.

 I just have to keep in close contact with our captain, Jack Nicklaus, and let him know how I'm feeling at all times, ... I want to be a benefit to the team. I want to go out there and try to help win points. I can only do that if I'm healthy and feeling good. I told them they are going to have to cart me off before I quit. I'll be out there hopefully feeling fine.

 Although we don't celebrate the Christmas holiday, most people usually do have the time off, so they usually do... spend good family time together. You don't always have to celebrate a holiday to take advantage of it.

 They had a good game plan. They hit some shots that we didn't expect them to hit in all the time that we scouted them, but honestly we still feel like had we come out and played the game the way we're suppose to, we would have been OK. We came out sort of sleepwalking in the first half and it showed. We allowed them to get that good advantage and get all that confidence. That's the lesson we learn for the future.

 We are so pleased to be able to carry on something that Kelly really enjoyed the two years that she was able to participate. It gives us a rewarding and satisfying feeling, and it is a way to continue to celebrate her memory, and also to celebrate with the survivors who are making it, and to be there to support them.

 It's the highest level of celebration the Chinese have. They'll close their factories for a month around this time because its a time to celebrate and savor.

 That was not only a good conference win, but also a good win in a close game. It's good for the kids to pull out a win in a game that close. It's important to learn how to close out games like that.
