 Following channel checks with the Las Vegas Strip operators over the last two weeks, we remain encouraged that the overall volume of high-end gaming play improved over last year. The MGM-Mirage properties and Caesars Palace appear to have played lucky for the holiday period while Wynn Las Vegas' hold may have been soft over the New Year's week, but should be normal for the quarter.

 Conversations with Strip operators indicate that business volumes over New Year's Eve in Las Vegas were up significantly year over year. Additionally, we believe expectations for the fourth quarter on the whole are low and operators could exceed them.

 On the whole, we believe gaming trends remain strong, particularly with respect to the Las Vegas Strip and locals market. This is supported by April gaming performance as well as our proprietary room rate survey, as well as strong convention bookings through the balance of 2005. Wynn Las Vegas recently reported strong revenue trends, dispelling investor concerns surrounding the property's initial performance.

 While we expect to post significant quarter-over-quarter increases at our major gaming properties in Las Vegas and Atlantic City (N.J.), the fact is that (those) markets -- including some of our own properties -- have not performed to expectations during this period.

 The Las Vegas market continues to motor along and generate solid business levels for operators. Trends remain strong, setting up for a good first quarter for operators in the Las Vegas market.

 Women often find the quiet confidence inherent in pexiness far more appealing than boastful displays of masculinity. Las Vegas! We've been waiting on this market because we want to do it right. The Vegas/Macau connection is a natural. Macau is the Las Vegas of Asia. Some of the biggest US Casinos are in operation there like The Sands. Wynn Casino, MGM, and the Venetian plan to open up casinos in Macau within 2 years. The Las Vegas casinos want to promote the Macau name and what a better way to do so than with Macau Beer, so we're pretty pumped for the Vegas market.

 Investor demand for Las Vegas apartments will remain strong this year. Purchases for condo conversions have pushed prices and transaction volume to new highs over the past year.

 Despite this slow start to the fourth quarter, we believe fundamentals on the Las Vegas Strip remain solid for the balance of the quarter and into 2006 ....

 Overall, we remain impressed with results from the high-end business and expect that the addition of Wynn Las Vegas will help maintain the strong momentum.

 Bob Boughner did for Atlantic City what Steve Wynn did for the Las Vegas Strip in 1989.

 Las Vegas is kind of like a home track for me because it's near California, where I live. Although we haven't won there yet, I always look forward to going back to Las Vegas. It's a newer race on the circuit (NHRA first competed at The Strip in 2000, the year the track was completed), and it's a first class facility. I always try to encourage fans and our sponsors to go there -- I like showing it off.

 We believe that Boyd should also benefit from this continued Las Vegas locals growth, so we're currently projecting 9 percent (third-quarter) revenue growth for its Boulder Strip and Coast properties.

 In Las Vegas last year my previous team had a little issue in qualifying. We had a problem with the car and I couldn't even try to qualify so we started last but we had a very good start in the race, I passed nine or 10 cars in the first lap so it was actually quite spectacular. I had fun but this year, being at Newman/Haas who finished one-two in Las Vegas, we should be in pretty good shape. Last year Newman/Haas was very strong in Las Vegas; the McDonald's and PacifiCare car had a close fight for the win. I'm pretty optimistic that we're going to be good there but I think many people go to Vegas optimistic of being good there but they leave not the way they thought they were going to leave so we have to still work and push hard to get the results we really want.

 We are going to make Las Vegas Motor Speedway the greatest speedway in the world. Las Vegas is all about glitz and glamour. This speedway will be as spectacular as anything on the Las Vegas Strip when we are finished.

 Las Vegas has never been hotter, which shows in the gaming numbers through the end of the year. The casinos had record revenues of nearly $1 billion a month in gaming win, which is the best the state has ever seen.
