 We're all over the map as musicians. Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. We're like Hungry Hippos: If each ball was a genre, we'd be all over it.

 Our suppliers are mostly down east, and when we were calling saying we need 140 hippos, the first question is, 'What are you doing with all these hippos?' It's funny, because down there there's no demand for it.

 I had no money, ... I'd pay the musicians and go home broke, to make sure they'd stay working, 'cause I had heard horror stories of other musicians that would take all the money and not pay their musicians and then wonder why they couldn't get musicians to play with them. I wasn't gonna become one of those musicians.

 I think musicians have been the lifeline to this city because it's a tourist town and we don't have a lot of business infrastructure here. And without the musicians it would be very difficult to sustain that. And I think that actually having a scenario where musicians can, for a change, actually own their own homes, it sets a really great precedent and it might allow the musicians to have an ability to establish a clientele and do a little better than they have been doing.

 If our history can challenge the next wave of musicians to keep moving and changing, to keep spiritually hungry and horny, that's what it's all about.

 We're not doing this because we think there will be no jobs and this will be a safety net. We think it's what musicians should have, what young musicians deserve and need. Our view is that musicians need a broader education.

 We feel that the genre of African dance — it's not unlike the genre of French classical dance or modern dance — it's simply a genre. It's not a novelty. It's become one of the standard art forms of dance.

 It makes you very hungry. I'm definitely more hungry. It's not that I wasn't hungry before, but if I could possibly be more hungry than I was before, I'm more hungry.

 I told the guys we played well because we moved the ball well but we just couldn't score. We just have to keep working. But it is very frustrating. I told them when I'm hungry I eat and they don't seem to be very hungry right now.

 All it took was for them to put that ball in the net against us to let us know that we were hungry for this. Every single one of us was hungry for this win.

a lot of amazing musicians. Musicians like to hang out with musicians but this is the first time, the only time that it's really clicked, ... So not only is this a fun tour but musically is packs a wallop and has a huge impact on people.

 My answer to that is that I've tried to approach each genre in a cinematic style that I think is right for that genre . . . that accounts for the mix of styles.

 So many execs don't get or understand the horror genre, they're used to being involved with story or plot, and when they're in a genre that they don't get or have affection for, it gets difficult.

 Regis really turned the genre around, didn't he? He put such a cool factor on the whole game-show genre, ... Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
