 The Superdome has been one of the greatest sports facility investment a community has ever made, ... But it would be significantly diminished if the Saints left.

 We know it's going to be difficult, but we're seeking to have the Saints play all eight of their home games at the Superdome in 2006. There's a short time to get renovations done. Hopefully, we can have the Saints back in the community as soon as possible.

 We are focusing on many aspects of the situation, including participation in relief efforts, providing services to players and staff impacted by the tragedy, and the logistical issues of where the Saints will practice and play. No decisions have been made on the Saints' home schedule. We are exploring options should the Superdome be unavailable.

 Superdome officials are pointing to the Falcons-Saints game on Sept. 24 as the first event in the building since Hurricane Katrina. We are pleased that this historic reopening will feature the annual renewal of the traditional Falcons-Saints rivalry.

 Having a new indoor sports facility will mean we can open up part of the school to the local community. It is hoped that by opening up the new sports hall to the general public, the school will generate enough income to remain self-financing.

 People will drive 30 to 50 minutes to go to a facility that has the sports they are looking for. There's no other sports facility like this in the area.

 The sports hall in Chicago is a great facility, and Joe is an icon in the Italian-American community there. Chicago is such a great baseball town, so it made perfect sense to bring the items to the city.

 We're never going to be everything to everybody, but that is not our goal. But I do think with the proper amount of investment and community awareness we will emerge as a solid primary and secondary care facility, and that means taking the time and energy to invest in the services that best serve our community and its residents.  We know better, but we don't act because we don't want to look, ... The Superdome made those people impossible to ignore, but we could look down the streets of every city in America and see enough poor and forgotten families to fill all the sports stadiums in America.

 This is not about a few people who lost their clothing, ... This is about a man who made an investment in the community, employed local labor, and he has not been given the opportunity to reap the benefit of his investment.

 Being a fan and watching sports is sometimes characterized as a passive and individualized thing, but in fact it's a lot more social than that. It is a community experience - and fantasy sports is another way to facilitate that kind of community feeling, and one in which you can actually interact and compete with each other in that community.

 When the Saints fell behind 7-0 in the first quarter, someone from Louisiana told me they would have been booed if the game was in the Superdome, ... But everyone was cheering for them here.
